Kroashent Commission - Windship Landing

The skies above Alvez are a lively place, as great windships sail with the 12 winds between floating islands and mountain peaks. The windships come in all shapes and sizes, from fortress-like galleons to lumbering merchantmen to quick and fast sparkcatchers, which skirt the edges of powerful magical storms.
No group is more at home in the skies than the Tempestarii, the bird-like Sidhe from the floating island city of Magonia. Masters of the winds and storms, these brave nomads live for adventure wherever they can find it. Some even join the crews of other peoples to strike out for even greater challenges.
Lacey Duhamel was not born a Tempestarii, although she proudly claims she can trace her heritage back several generations to a Tempestarii Kabiten. After becoming one of the winged creatures, she eagerly dragged her friend, Thomas the miller's boy to join the first windship that they found, the Akitankian windguard ship Moineau.
Peregrine Pomeroy and her two sisters, Geraldine and Clementine were not born as Tempestarii either. Nor were the three siblings sisters at the start either. Seeking to undermine the headstrong Lacey, the three village bullies instead accidentally replicated the magical spell and ended up turned into Tempestarii themselves!
Now Lacey, Thomas and the Pomeroy sisters all serve aboard the Moineau, setting sail across the skies to open new trading routes with the far off ports of the Golden Sea and beyond!

Val's Notes:
I've drawn Lacey a few times, but never really felt that she was quite "fitting" into the larger setting of Kroashent. Giving her a place on a windship seemed like an ideal place for the adventure-seeking harpy, as was a fun way of introducing some of her supporting cast. Lacey, Thomas and the Pomeroy triplets all hail from a small hamlet in Northern Akitania, a wealthy Grand-Duchy South of Letha.
The Windgaurd are a naval force that some nations maintain, traveling aboard windships to defend a nation and its interests. The Moineau is small by windship standards, and is largely used as a scouting vessel to monitor the seas for attacks by the Marie-Morgane, sea monsters pirates and foreign navies.
The outfits worn by the trio are Akitanian windguard uniforms, with Lacey, being a midshipman, having a snazzier officer's uniform. Thomas and Peregrine each a airman's uniform, modified for their body types.
