Huijun is a two-hundred and sixty-four year old Faerie who currently lives in Windswell and works as an attendant at the 美しい Gallery.
[looks like Lee Jae-hwan]
The past is in the p a s t
Huijun was born in a very high powered family of the Unseelie court, his father top adviser for the Queen in foreign diplomats. Growing up he knew most all languages from all continents in the Asia region, from Korean being his first language his mother spent nights teaching him Japanese, being her native tongue, and it went from there. Learning all the languages needed to take over his father’s place when the time would be needed. He was seen to be a well rounded child in the courts, very calm, very polite, but the pressure soon weighed on him, and after many fights broke out in his teenage years after he started to rebel against the ideals his parents set in place, he was sent to a small fae community in Japan. Away from the glamour of the courts. It was sought to be a punishment, but it was far from it for Huijun, he found the calming scenery to be a needed aspect in his life, there was really no pressure on him other than to do the normal work of any fae in the community. No high expectations, when all Huijun wanted to do was grow up and live a normal life.
Becoming fast friends with the faeries around his age and even some older, he found himself loving the aspect of simplicity in the community. But after a couple of years he was brought back to the Unseelie court as his father’s health began to decline. His mother pressuring him to do what was needed to be done. Though having other siblings, it was his job being eldest to take over when his father passed. Though his heart hurt for his father and family, the person he found himself being away from Court was a person he much preferred, free to grow, and be a child, or even a young adult, flirt, play, and just be free of the normal restrictions that his family put on him. After long discussions with his younger sister, who knew her brother was feeling more than apprehensive of his new role in Court, she agreed to take the roll, both having had the same same teachings she was more than qualified, and selfishly enough Huijun accepted his sister’s sacrifice for him. Disappearing the next night with little money, clothes and a couple of family tokens to remember them by. Never looking back till the word came from his sister of their father’s death. Though certainly no longer a member of Court, Huijun went back upon certain looks of disgrace and annoyance from members, he paid his last respects to his father all the while being told he was no longer welcomed, by his own mother. Three of four siblings treating him with the same regard, he bowed out graciously after saying his last goodbye to his father and disappeared once more.
Huijun spent his years between different faerie communities among Japan, Korea, Laos and Taiwan. Having a few fae he knew through his travels with his father, he found keeping those connections key to survival as he learned to slowly become independent from Court. He favored Japan and Laos during those times, brushing up on languages and cultures, never planning to stay there for much time. Making a small name for himself through out the communities as a casual flirt with no regard of settling down. Much a man of favoring females, men still was on his radar, causing much drama and fun for the fae and many broken hearts a long the way.
You can’t change your s o u l
He soon found his way in the late eighties to Canada, traveling to America month’s later after brushing up on his English, he heard of a town in America meant for species of all kind. Though much a myth to all, it took his curiosity full course, and after traveling around much of America, never staying on once place too long due to his reaction to Iron, he found himself in Devil’s Watch a few a couple months prior to the New Years. Having found a couple familiar faces from the fae communities he’s known from his travels. Huijun settled in pretty nicely into Tsuga’s Gallery, finding his charming character was much needed in selling the older fae’s paintings, and he rather liked being able to sleep on slow days in the back, causing much annoyance to Tsuga.
But you can write your f u t u r e
Huijun doesn’t really have many aspirations for the future. He likes writing, and singing a bit, but he doesn’t see that being a career to carry him in the future, he much likes where he’s at right now and is just going to take one day at a time. Exploring, though he really doesn’t see himself staying in Devil’s Watch for too long, it’s slowly becoming his favorite place to be in America. Still he expects to travel a bit more in his time, but for now he likes where he is at.
