It was a rare occasion when Rothalion chose to linger within an establishment such as this, a bar teeming with patrons and the gentle lull of conversation mashed to a point of confusion from the outside. Ro himself sat idly at the bar itself, leaned over with a simple glass of water betwixt his hands rather than the usual drink of choice; even asking for such a beverage had granted him a raised brow from the bartender. His mind wandered even as long, pointed ears listened to that which was spoken around him, eyes distantly staring into his morphed reflection in his glass.

The voice that greeted him was just barely spoken over the din of noise yet with sensitivity he managed to pick it up from the rest; it was closer and just a tad clearer. He sat up, head turning with bright green eyes widened. Had he heard correctly? Was... was the other man even sober? His brows very lightly furrowed yet a warm smile lifted him lips anyway.

"I apologize, but... did I mishear? Or were you addressing another?" he asked, gaze flicking to check. It appeared most other patrons buzzed in the seats around the room, the only other individual at the bar being the bartender himself. Rothalion swallowed hard, a hand pulling back from his glass to shakily brush his bangs out of his eyes to see better.

He wasn't used to being approached in such a manner, and for a moment he wondered if maybe it was a joke on his behalf. If it weren't, was he the kind of person to simply kiss another without so much of an exchange of names never mind knowledge of one another? While time felt to slow down in his own mind, his answer came with just the briefest of pauses between.

"... If you are serious, I-I... I wouldn't mind if y-you did," he admitted, gaze dropping to fidgeting hands as his face took on a light tone of pink down to the very tips of his ears.

Character Development Questions (Open!)

The one thing Illya treasures more than anything during times of great emotional distress or peril is the company of people she cares for and their support. She can be an anxious mess a lot of the times, carrying back battle trauma even long after a war has ended. 

But during moments where she’s facing against a big bad, and all hope seems to be lost, the support of the scions and her friends standing by her side gives her strength. For a girl who is so scared of so many things, when she’s faced with a battle that would dictate the fate of the world, she’s surprisingly calm. Because she remembers what she has to do - what she wants to protect, and the people she loves being there for her gives her the strength to do so.

Laurelis: A big catalyst to Laurelis becoming less blindly trusting of others was Asahi. While it can’t truly be boiled down to one single event, her experience with the man has caused her to be more reproachful and doubtful of others. Her close friends are aware of this.

Brigid: The father of Brigid’s child left shortly after learning of her pregnancy. This resulted in Brigid becoming more emotionally closed off and less forgiving to others than she had been in the past, leading to the reticient woman that stands as a Warrior of Light today. Few outside her tribe know about this ever having occurred, as she does not volunteer this information.

Arianna: Back when she was still merely an alchemist and herbalist getting by in Gridania, there was a patient she was unable to save. While this resulted in her completely shutting down and becoming unresponsive for several days, it ultimately pushed her into taking up conjury. No one knows about this.

Begonia - Is your muse prone to ‘flights of fancy’, or are they more down-to-earth?

it depends on the fancy! if we're talking money, hallura almost never splurges. both her birth and adoptive parents raised her to be good at business and one of the first things they taught her was to never spend needlessly. she was also in limbo for about a year and a half between losing and finding her two families and had to scrounge to survive, so penny pinching is second nature for her. i'd say the only exceptions are spending on bath salts/oils, or (for a few years) on alcohol - though she preferred to drink when someone else was paying or if the echo was giving her trouble!

as for fancies of time or habit, she does enjoy taking a spontaneous moment out of her day to do something fun! if she's in limsa she may just hit the beach whenever she feels like it; while she's traveling she'll often go flying on a whim!
