My art ! Some are sold already! I’m not an artist but this art therapy thing I’ve been doing has been really inspiring and I have lots and lots of ideas. Can’t help but share even though I know my art pales in comparison to real artists out there ! But boy is it fun to finally have an outlet that is super helpful to my mental health.

Song Review: String Cheese Incident - “Windy Mountain”

String Cheese Incident took “Windy Mountain” into the studio and emerged with something resembling a CSN song.

That isn’t to say SCI can sing like David, Stephen and Graham - even with studio assistance, that goal is unattainable. But the vocal harmonies clearly draw inspiration from the trio and the mostly acoustic chord progressions have Crosby’s phantom fingerprints all over them.

It’s slick - much slicker than the String Cheese versions that’ve appeared at various Incidents over the years - to the point this “Windy Mountain” is more breezy than anything. Yet, the song could serve as an entree point for folks who prefer studio to live performances.

Grade card: String Cheese Incident - “Windy Mountain” - C+
