Wine chateau
You will need:
• 200 ml wine • 100 g sugar • 3 egg yolks
Preparation: The wine and the sugar are put on the fire to boil. When you boil the wine and the sugar melts, mix it with the egg yolks, put it on the steam and then mix. The wine chateau is ready when you get density suitable for coating of the sweet dishes.
…may also be prepared as follows:
Milk chateau
Instead of wine, you can use milk. The milk and the sugar are put on the fire to boil. When you boil the milk and the sugar melts, mix it with the egg yolks, put it on the steam and then mix. The milk chateau is ready when you get density suitable for coating of the sweet dishes.
Ready for the weekend? Thirsty for some vino? Here are some recent wines we experienced from WineChateau.com that are sure to please any wino!
The 2007 Tenuta La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino is an absolutely delicious Italian for under $50. This varietal is a perfect red pairing to a scorching summer day. It offers soft and silky tanins with a taste of delicate chocolate and mild dark fruit that's ever so palate-pleasing. Perfect red for a scorching summer day.
I really enjoyed it with fresh Parmigiano Reggiano from Mike's Deli on Arthur Avenue and Caveman Blue, though I can appreciate almost anything with Caveman Blue.
We have also enjoyed many beautiful bottles of the 2006 Bennett Family Cabernet Reserve from winechateau.com. This cab is an incredible find for $20! Definitely one of my go-to wines for everyday drinking. Click here for our last feature on Bennett Family Cabernet.
Happy drinking my friends!
Tonight CD was in charge of dinner & I was in charge of the wine. Couldn't think of a better task for me! CD made a delicious sautéed chicken with paprika, accompanied by baked sweet potato & sautéed shishito peppers. Our meal was delicious and our wine was an absolute palate pleaser. The 2009 Renieri Re di Renieri Toscana is a medium to full-bodied delight. Smooth with a very nice finish. I can definitely lounge and enjoy this great find with dinner or on its own. A must try for under $50!
