A high school friend posted this today, it resonates with me on so many levels! Proud of you Tina, congrats! Diets are fads, lifestyle change is forever 😊 : Transformation Tuesday, and I would say a big one at that 😉👍🏻 As I was scrolling through pictures the other day I came upon the top three pictures from 3-4 years ago. I was struggling with my blood pressure and sick constantly. It was February 2013 when I received my wake up call. I was back at my PA not feeling well. She looked at me and was brutally honest. She told me she was going to have to put me on blood pressure meds and that I needed to change my lifestyle and loose weight. I am a nurse and I wasn't even 30 at the time! How could I be on BP meds?! I told her give me some time. That day I went out and bought new workout clothes and hit the gym the next day. It started with a couch to 5k and progressed from there to group classes at the y. It wasn't easy at first but over time it became a habit, part of my daily routine. I also started making changes in my diet and became aware of what I was putting into my body. I completely cut out pop, decreased my sugar intake, and increased my fruit and veggie intake. The process hasn't been a quick one. It's taken me 3 years to get to where I am in the bottom three pictures. When people ask me how I did it, hard work and dedication. There is no quick fix. It has to be a lifestyle change and something you stick to if you want to maintain. I still have days I don't do as well as others but I never want to get back to that point. I never did it to be "skinny" my goal has always been to be healthy and strong! #transformationtuesday #awesome #highschoolfriend #winfieldks
