One of the things that amazes me is my relationship with bees, wasps, and hornets. I fucking love bees. When the trees bloom I stand under them for hours, just watching the little things buzz around. Sometimes I tell my friends: ‘Have I ever told you I love bees,’ and they'l be like: ‘Yes, about a hundred times.’ Then to wasps I’m completely indifferent. They love me though. They will just sit on me. I do nothing. I don’t move I don’t shoo them away. One time a wasp hitched a bus ride on my shoulder. But I don’t really care, like it’s not: ‘Oh, a wasp how interesting!’ And the hornets. Boy am I afraid of hornets. I’ve never been attacked by one, I’m not allergic or anything. But I almost panic whenever I see one. I have to try as hard as I can to stay calm. Then I just stay out of the way and wait for it to leave. I could just stand still for hours, silently watching it move around, waiting for it to finally fly away.
