How my wings work

I've been thinking about how my wings would actually work. I don't think I'd actually fly high up in the same way that birds or dragons do but in the same way flying squirrels do. It'd be to cold to fly that high up especially with the wind. Cats already need to bask in sunlight to regulate their body temperature and I think flying fast or high up would be uncomfortable. I'd maybe only fly in the same way that birds do in an act of escaping somthing. I would use my wings to help myself jump up to high places or fly small distances.

Wing gear

I really want movable wings but they all seem so inconvenient. They usually move with a string that hooks onto your hand or wrist and are way too big. I need something public-friendly and don't restrict hand movements. I want wings that hook onto my elbow area and are small TwT
