The core reason why patricia taxxon being harrassed and banned fills me with absolute rage really is that a number of detractors I see are queer as well, and I simply can't stand the fact so many would be so downright disgusting and with no self awareness whatsoever.
They'd be perfectly useful idiots for fascists. They made sideblogs with the entire purpouse of keeping tabs on one trans person. Scrutinized her every word, and are now outright lying about her (or do they just believe in their own righteousness that bad? Who knows.)
They did this for YEARS and what for? To keep safe who? Even if I could take their claim that patricia's behaviour was concerning (it wasn't. Cis furries post about worse here ALL the time) or that she acted inappropriately (all of the alleged stories involving this casually leave out her having to be pushed or manipulated into it)
What was it even for?
How does harassing a stranger online keep people safe? We both know how. Why do we have to play coy and not realize what they were hoping for?
And the worst part is, they don't even realize trans people are only today's scapegoat. Today, these people are happy to pull a kiwifarms on them. Tomorrow hey might not be 'good queers' anymore. Some day it may be their turn. Their 'harmless kinks' will be documented and argued to be disgusting perversions.
Their interests and identity will be torn and paraded as if they couldn't possibly like something nonsexually, and they would be treated as ticking time bombs of abuse.
It's just disgusting. Even if that came to pass it wouldn't even feel any good.
