he’d recognise these stupid bright red wings anywhere, wings he burned. and of course phoenix rises from the ashes as always, right ? hawks was probably trained to get back up on his feet each time just like touya was. no.

that’s his name, his fucking name goddamit “why are you here” he left him broken on purpose, he never wanted to kill him in the first place. but he’ll give him the salvation he deserves. 

he’s probably talking, touya wouldn’t know his ears are ringing, a short film of everything they did together plays in his head. “shut up. shut the fuck up Keigo.” he launches himself, flames reaches the bird, why didn’t he fucking move. 

“no. you’re not Keigo.” who is he other than a puppet built for the comission to play with, their own perfect little doll. “you’ll never realise how much they ruined you.” 

he remembers their bickering, familiar jabs that the other probably burried deep inside his mind and so did the other stand in corpse.

“but don’t worry, i’ll be a hero just this once.” kicking him down he sets himself on fire one last time. “i’ll save you.”

but the phoenix always rises from the ashes, right?

We should get you to the hospital this instant...” He looked over his shoulder, to the police cars and the villain being chained to restrain all of his strength. “It would take too long to call an ambulance... Would it be okay to carry you? It’s not too far.”
