he’d been practicing his serves when he ended up turning around-- ah, sugawara. he felt his face light up, when did--...that sudden wave of nerves kicked at him. “i-..suga-chan, what are you doing here?” He flicks both of his hands out for a moment, he wanted to play it cool-- he wanted to say something but his mind seemed to be running in high gear at the point of overheating.  

tooru walks over to the other setter -- crap he needed to think of something before be blurted out something stupid, but he could only find himself just looking was he coming across as weird? his gaze just goes to his feet-- why was he so flustered? why did he enjoy feeling like this.

in lieu of greeting, bakugo huffs a breath that could have been steam, could have been a greeting, & could have been an accident. the ambiguity is desirable. beyond that ? it’s just damn cool.

not that he has to / wants to try for that. not that it’s a priority.

. . . but it is an economical exchange. it’s the decision not to invest more energy into beginning this conversation than he has to.

                                      OF COURSE he was stuck with his less than stellar teammate while kakashi and sakura split off to do recon for their mission. although, if he had it his way he would have just liked to work alone. not that their sensei would ever let him, always prattling on about teamwork and the importance of relying on others around you. he scoffed, dragging the tip of his kunai through the dirt idly. brows knit in frustration, shooting a glare in the direction of the overly dramatic blonde. 

                               ‘ would you be quiet ?? we’re just supposed to be watching the boarders of these two neighboring villages. this isn’t even a c ranked mission. ‘ he grumbled. why they even wasted their time on these types of missions he could not fathom. the least of naruto’s worries should be dying --- unless sasuke loses his patience and decides to end him himself.

                    while @rassemblez  and i were hanging out today --- we were talking about the absolute chaos that natsuo and dabi would get into. for example dabi would convince natuso to come commit arson, natsuo not even realizing it’s his own house. dabi just handing him a flaming jar of ragu.
