I like what I do now, actually, but my *dream* career would be to have my own media empire and make movies of all the books I love and make television shows with lots of OTPs in them and write a lot of books with the same stuff and I would overhaul awards ceremonies so they actually reward the right stuff and I would make sure good books get read by kids in school and basically I want to control all aspects of entertainment but I swear I'd be benevolent about it.

I've posted this a couple other places, so you may have seen it, but what I would really love to see is an 1920's AU where Sherlock is a member of a jazz band and John is a wealthy ex army doctor who frequents the club where Sherlock plays.
This is such an excellent idea!
-a thunderstorm, and her tears will make you feel like you're drowning. "Be careful," they'll warn you. "She's a dangerous type". They'll tell you she's a dreamer. That she's flighty, unpredictable, that she'll be emotional and do stupid things for no real reason. But she'll always just be the girl on the bus, the quiet one with the soft voice and the strange words.
I LOVE THIS
There's a girl on the bus. She sits in the middle, and barely talks. When she does, she has a soft voice and says the strangest things. But most days she just sits alone in her seat, sometimes writing, but most days just staring out the window with her earphones in, tapping out a beat on the cover of her notebook. You feel almost not there when she looks at you, because she had this way of looking both at you and straight through you. Her smile will make you feel like the sun has come out after-

John, what is going on?! I logged off for a day or two and all of a sudden Sherlock's missing, your in danger and everybody has convinced themselves you two are going to break up no matter how much you protest otherwise. I obviously missed something, care to explain what that something is or was?
Sherlock isn’t missing. I was the one who was a bit MIA. I wasn’t checking in with the case because I was being a stubborn twat. He got a bit scared after the VA made a warning announcement to veterans about a suspected murderer. It was my idea in the first place, for them to announce it. But he’s on now, and we’re working at getting some tests done on the latest vic. We have a connection between every victim and will be examining that as well.
I'll be keeping you all up-to-date as much as I can and am allowed, now.
