Okay okay, so I just read, or ah, reread your fic Bleed For Me and I felt like I had to tell you how much I loved it!! You write tomione so well, and I just, I can't, I have no words. My favourite thing about hero/villain ships is the struggle where the villain is trying to get the hero to join them, and the hero wants nothing to do with them, and that's so well done in your story!! Thank you so much for writing it! You're the best! :D
aAHHH THANK YOU SO MUUUUUUUUUCH IM SO HAPPY YOU LIIIIIKE IT AHHHH
u r so very nice i love you sO MUCH THNK U FOR UR KIND WORDS YOU’RE THE BEST
I normally love villains, and all their nefarious plotting, villainous schemes, underhanded manipulation....but Roland, I just, I can't. He's just the worst, and not in a good way! The last time I hated a villain this much was Stephan from Maleficent! Somebody should ship Roland off to the middle of nowhere so he can be alone with his ego. The pictures at the end, I mean, why?!
I am so pleased that I have made Roland so thoroughly detestable. It brings me such joy.
But now I am a tiny bit scared that when you guys see what happens next you’re gonna finally snap and come after me with torches and pitchforks . . .
Though I'm sure you don't need anymore ammunition for the angst war, I have an Angst(Art) School AU idea...Dawn and Sunny are out on a date, when they get into a car accident and Dawn is killed. Dawn had invited Marianne and Bog along the day before, but they were both busy with their art show or something. I wonder how Marianne would handle losing another family member, and I wonder how Sunny will handle the guilt; there's a lot involved.
Thoughts on a road-trip AU? For some reason Bog and Marianne are forced to be in a car together for days despite hardly knowing each other. Car karaoke, overly competitive driving games, comical snoring, and awkward romance ensue.
Sooo
Imagine. Teenagers.
There is a national singingcompetition with dozens of schools coming together to vie for fameand glory. And our cast are all driving across several states in order to participate.
Dawn and Marianne Fairwood arethe natural choices for Lightfield High to send to represent thegirls, Sunny Day and Roland Green for the boys. UnfortunatelyMarianne just caught Roland cheating on her and now she’s going to bestuck in a bus with him for two days on the way to the competition.
Meanwhile, Bog King is one of therepresentatives from the nearby Darkwood High, located in a tougherarea of town. Darkwood and Lightfield are fierce rivals in allthings, academic, arts, and sports, everything.
And due to Roland nonsense Dawnand Marianne and Sunny miss the bus to the competition. And the onlyride that can be scrounged up is Bog, who is driving there himself.Griselda, of course, makes him take on these undesirable passengers.Encouraging him with a snack on the back of his head and remindinghim that he’d better have packed a suit jacket and he was notgoing to perform in that horrible spiked leather garment.
Dawn and Sunny try to be allcheerful and appreciative, but Marianne just glares at Bog, a hatedDarkwood rival. She has no patience for rivals or boys.
And because all four of them areon the way to a voice contest Dawn suggests singing a bit to keeptheir voices in order. After miles and miles of sickeningly sweetlove songs and Bog trying to hold his temper in check because he hasa feeling the fluffy blonde one is a crier, he switches out the CDwith one of his own instrumental soundtracks and belts outMistreated, determined to show up the sullen brunette.
But she joins in. And she’s good. And they nearly lose theirvoices trying to out-sing each other and Dawn and Sunny are gigglingto themselves when the fighting in the front of the car takes on apositively flirtatious tone.
Later, when the backseat gigglers are asleep, Bog remarks he’s surprisedMarianne has such a diverse taste in music. To which she sets himstraight, that she hates Dawn’s song choices as much as Bog does, butcan’t bear to hurt her feelings. And they bond over their hatred ofromance and their inability to say no to that little ray of sunshine.
Mariannefalls asleep on Bog’s shoulder and drools most ungracefully and hewon’t stop bringing it up until later he falls asleep and Mariannetakes pictures of up his nose and uses them as blackmail. They bothsnore, but neither of them as loud as Dawn.
Mariannekeeps putting her feet on the dashboard, earning her glares andsnarls from Bog. The car is probably named Primrose. There’s a wireand amber pendent hanging over the rear-view mirror. Marianne’skeychain has a tiny sword charm hanging on it.
Two days of fast food, sleeping in the car, fierce games of I Spy, Dawn getting carsick, Sunny nearly getting left behind twice, and three times the car is pulled over so that Bog and Marianne can scream at each other over some tiny slight. And each time they finish shouting they get back in the car and keep going like nothing happened.
Whenthey finally get there Roland causes trouble (dunno how, but he does)and Bog and Marianne fight and separate. But Roland’s true colors aresoon revealed, just in time for Marianne’s solo, which she hadchanged at the last minute to Wild Thing. She sings at Bog, who is inthe audience, and tosses him a microphone and he jumps on stage tojoin her in an impromptu duet.
Sunnydrives back. Marianne and Bog are crammed in the backseat, fastasleep and tangled together because there’s not enough leg room orhead room for Bog to sit properly back there.
Okay, this isn’t very road-trippy, but consider this an open invitation tojam and throw out any and all ideas for a Road Trip AU!
Imagine Art School AU Bog and Marianne getting really into googly eye vandalism; just sticking eyes on things. Of course, it turns into a competition where they're both sticking eyes on each other's things. Bog gets home after putting eyes into Marianne's shame cupboard feeling smug...but when he opens the fridge he sees everything inside staring back at him.
How have I over looked googly eye vandalism?! *copy pastes this post* I will be using this later . . .
Also, “Marianne’s shame cupboard”. I’m going to call it that from now on.
I have briefly gone over how I get my lines crisp over here, and what programs I use here. Drawing bigger is usually the best way to hid shaky lines. If you zoomed in some of my bigger pieces you'll see a bit of shakiness in my lines.
I once tried to make a tutorial of how I get my colors, but it became kinda hard and many other artists have already covered it way better than I ever could. I'll just share you a quick idea of my own process through my shitty Photoshop program Elements 6.0.
Over here I made an arrangement of some colors and only adjusted the brightness of them. They look kinda dull. The browner tones look the dullest. Dull isn't always a bad thing though. It can really make some other colors pop!
Below we have the same center colors from above, but for some reason, they don't look so dull.
How could this be? The darker and lighter colors are actually a different tone of color! Some of them are slightly duller to make the the other color stand out. I tend to make lighter tones more warmer and darker tones more cooler.
Below are a series of lazy steps of how I get the color pink it's shade and hi-light.
Below is a collection of saved colors I have in my Firealpaca. It really does come in handy for me. These colors really do inspire me.
Finally, I'll leave these color reference/tutorials/resource links here that demonstrate things better.
