lol, yes! someone pointed out that there’s an ATL posted in Stiles’ bedroom (there is, i checked), so then i got curious and looked them up, and now i’ve got a youtube playlist i’ve had on repeat for the last couple of weeks XD

i’ve always really been struck by “judgment is wasted on a man who won’t listen”

not only is it important and meaningful within the context of the scene, it’s also just a really profound observation in general and it’s so true. there’s no point in criticizing someone who’s set in their ways and has to desire to acknowledge their faults or change their behavior.

but there are other people, like Arthur, who have that genuine desire to be good people! they’ve just been raised in an environment that taught them a lot of fucked up things that they need to unlearn. judgment for those people is an opportunity to improve because they will listen to it. they will learn the lesson they are being taught and come out the other side of it acknowledging that the judgment passed on them was valid and important.

i just have a lot of feelings about that particular quote, in context and out.
