Y's POV
I hurriedly opened Jaehyun Sunbae's locker and froze in my tracks when I saw a black envelope with gold letters that read "Dear Y." He wrote me a letter...
I immediately snapped out of my trance when I heard chattering, hurriedly snatching the letter out and replacing it with the ivory white envelope. I shut his locker, before taking off quickly, heading towards my faculty. I couldn't help but clutch the letter tightly to my chest. Butterflies were fluttering in my stomach, and I can't help but wonder if this is the feeling that Jaehyun Sunbae gets when he sees my letter.
All of a sudden, I felt my wrist being grabbed and I was pulled behind a wall. I almost screamed, until I saw the familiar faces of my childhood friends - Jaemin and Jeno. I let out a sigh of relief and said "You guys scared me!" Jaemin asked "What are you doing here? You're clearly not from the Business Faculty." I said "I walked my roommate to her class...?" Jeno looked into my eyes skeptically while I avoided eye contact. Jeno shook his head while declaring "Liar. You didn't make eye contact. You do that when you're lying."
I sighed and said in defeat "Out with it. What do you guys know." Jaemin smiled triumphantly and said "Why not you tell us what you think we know?" I said "Jaemin!" Both Jaemin and Jeno laughed and the latter proposed "Let's talk over breakfast. I'm hungry. And no rejections, I know you don't have classes until 11AM." I sighed and let the two boys pull me to the cafeteria. I discreetly threw the letter into my tote bag, and they made me find a table while going to get our food.
We were halfway through our food, when Jaemin said "So. Jaehyun Hyung, huh?" I choked on my kimchi stew and Jeno patted my back gently. I feigned confusion "Huh? Jaehyun Sunbae?" Jeno said "We saw the letter. We recognise your handwriting. It isn't that hard to notice those tiny words." I said "No...?" Jaemin asked "I thought you were over him. When Jaehyun Hyung graduated, it seemed like both of you didn't keep in contact." I said "Yeah...We didn't." Jeno continued "But you never gave up on him?" I shook my head.
I said "I never forgot him. He doesn't know that I'm here, right?" Jeno shook his head and said "You did tell him you were going to Singapore. And you didn't tell him when you decided to stay." I said "Yeah..." Jaemin said "So. Back to the letter. Jaehyun Hyung has been so disappointed over the fact that you're not leaving your letters anymore." I sighed and said "I've been busy with training. Please help me keep this a secret, I don't want Jaehyun Sunbae to know that it's me yet."
They nodded and chimed "We promise." I laughed and checked my watch, which read '10.45AM'. I stood up and said "It's nice catching up with you boys, I've to get to class." Jaemin and Jeno decided to walk me to class, and they did.
After we parted ways, I received a text from Jeno saying 'Let's grab a coffee soon. We can study together!' I smiled and replied 'Sure :))'
After classes, I had a quick lunch before heading to the indoor sports hall for training.
The intensity of our training had recently been amped up because of the upcoming season, and after practice, I dragged my sore body back home and immediately hopped into the warm shower. I sighed as my muscles relaxed under the hot shower, and after my shower, I headed to the kitchen to make myself some food.
I was eating a simple fried rice, when I received a text. I picked my phone up and saw a text from Jeno.
Jeno: What are you doing tomorrow?
Y: nothing much, I don't have training, probably gonna stay home. what's up?
Jeno: Come to the match with Jaemin? I'm playing tomorrow. So is Jaehyun Hyung.
Y: is this an invitation for me to come see you or do you want me to see Jaehyun Sunbae? I swore I wouldn't show up in close proximity to him.
Another text came in from Jaemin, and it said:
Jaemin: I don't take no for an answer~ You're coming with me tomorrow, I'm gonna wait outside your classes and drag you there^^
Y: is that not kidnapping?
Jaemin: See you tomorrow~
At the same time, Jeno had dropped me a reply.
Jeno: Yes and no. See you tomorrow!
I sighed in defeat, giving in to their request.
After dinner, I headed to my room and pulled out the black envelope. Carefully peeling it open, I smiled when I saw Jaehyun Sunbae's familiar handwriting. Some things don't change.

Thank you for your letters, your rose and your gummy bears. I can't help but wonder how you're so observant to notice that I hardly eat chocolates.
Rather than running for the hills from your letter, I've been anticipating receiving them in my locker ever since the first one. You're a real character, you know that? I really do appreciate the old-school experience of writing and receiving letters.
If you're reading this letter, thank you for coming back to my locker. I hope I receive another letter from you, it's been everything to me. it's been the only thing I've been thinking of.
Also, if it isn't too much to ask, will you come to my match? I know that I won't know that you're there, but it will make me happy that you came.

I flopped onto my bed clutching the letter to my chest. Heck, this is one hell of an achievement.
