My Little Crow Goblin daughter Liz Cassandra and her fiance Nelson, who have recently been reunited now that Nelson moved back to be closer to Liz Cassandra after a year of faithfully enduring a long-distance relationship. Nelson was the one who came to see the live action Sailor Moon musical in New York City with us for Liz Cassandra's Life-day/Birthday last April. Their devotion to one another is truly inspirational. Liz Cassandra shared the song "Turn Back Time" by Aqua with Nelson telling him if she could, she would turn back time and ask him to stay before he ever left in the first place; this is what drove Nelson to come back to Liz Cassandra, and his parents agreed seeing how devoted Nelson is to Liz Cassandra. I'm happy for them being together through thick-and-thin, and now reunited at last. 🤍

why have i built this life?

what was i thinking?

did i think it would feel easy?

did i think i’d wake up one day and suddenly be ready?

how can i turn back

when it’s already real?

it wasn’t supposed to be like this.

it wasn’t supposed to feel like i’m constantly behind.

like everyone else knows what they’re doing

and i’m just pretending.

i can’t do it.

i can’t be what i’m supposed to be.

and i hate that i still keep going.

because i have to.

sometimes i miss who i was so much

it feels like grief.

and i wake up with the same thought every day:

what have i done.

Turn back time

I wish I could turn back time to warn my younger self about mom getting sick.

Or to warn them of the long identity crisis of trying to figure out who we are that stood Infront of them.

To tell them we finally have friends, that we are loved, and cared for even though it still seems like a foreign concept even now.

To warn them of the struggles we have that we've made it through even if it was hard.

But I know if I went to visit myself at my lowest points back in 6th grade or maybe after those breakups showed them we were still alive and that we made it.

I wouldn't trust them not to go straight to a bridge or a bottle of medication or a rope like we fantasized of doing so many times.

I wouldn't trust them to not try and end the life we worked so hard to save that we really only just got to start living.

I wouldn't trust them to not ensure the promise we made to ourselve in those dark times of being dead at 15 would be acted on though we are so close to 16.
