Here’s another line from the winstyles I’m working on: 

He starts coming up with (mostly unflattering) names for them; Harry's certainly not gonna introduce any of them to him or Meri, and Ben needs some way to keep track of all the men being secreted into and out of his home, or else he’ll finally crack.

here’s  a bit of winstyles i’m working on:

The funniest part, in retrospect, is this: Ben has no idea it's happening. Meri's the one who notices and points it out to him. 

Harry’s been living with them for a couple of months now, and Ben likes to think that the three of them have adjusted to the arrangement well enough. Harry keeps saying his own home will be ready to move into ‘in no time’. Ben’s starting to suspect that Harry underestimated how long the renovations will take -- vastly underestimated, based on the guilty looks he keeps shooting Ben’s way and the sudden marked increase in offers to run errands and do chores around the house. 

One evening, when Ben and Meri are making dinner together, he makes an offhand comment about all the laundry Harry’s been doing for them recently. She just laughs at him. 

“Honestly, Ben,” she says, “I don’t think the whole neighborhood has enough linens to match the amount of laundry Harry’s washed recently. He’s just doing his own sheets, a few times a week.”

That’s mystifying for about five seconds; then Meri raises her eyebrows suggestively and adds, “He’s real clandestine about it, too. I think he almost had a heart attack when I caught him adding stain remover to a load last week.”

It clicks, and suddenly Ben’s laughing too. 

“That little brat,” he says, “Do you reckon he’s actually sneaking girls up to his room? God.” 

Meri shrugs and goes back to stirring the pasta bake they’re throwing together. 

“You did say letting him stay here was a trial run for when we have a kid. Consider this a look at the mind-addling teenage hormones we’ll have to be on guard against in the future.”

Not to be crude but... clearly the anon meant that Jeff misfired his spit. Poor H, no one wants to spit in his mouth.

LOL if that’s the case then that is EXACTLY the kind of energy i want in my inbox. yes PLEASE, give me all of your spitting-in-harry’s mouth headcanons.

while we’re on the subject: recently i suggested that of all of harry’s menfriends, only ben winston could really pull off spitting into his mouth, and that is because it is a truth universally acknowledged that the winstyles dynamic is nasty and kinky af.

THEN la counter-suggested that xander could pull it off too, which i reflected on and decided i could accept. however, i personally like to headcanon that it would cause xander some internal distress. I have a lot of secretly-a-soft!bro headcanons about xander, where he will obligingly play the role of big strong dumb alpha jock (bc harry obviously Likes It and xander gets off on it too)... but also... sometimes he experiences a painful yearning to be Tender and a little Soft with harry, which he feels like he can’t indulge in, because that’s not really been a part of his sexual dynamic with harry thus far, and secretly he fears that harry is more interested in him as a Type than as a person with emotional needs. (IS HE RIGHT? probably not, but first we need 50k of slowburn angst and emotional turmoil as he wrestles with his feelings about harry.)

the only person i feel confident could never spit in harry’s mouth convincingly in a Sex Way is jeff. but i also have some slightly angsty hazoff headcanons in reserve about that (you never know when you’ll need ‘em), where jeff sometimes feels bad / insecure about the fact that he is not really the ~alpha top~ type, he’s never really gonna feel comfortable manhandling harry or getting winstyles-level kinky with him or doing anything that feels remotely degrading, EVEN IN A SEX WAY, because he LOVES HARRY and thinks hes genuinely THE BEST PERSON IN THE WORLD and it goes against all of his protective instincts to be rough with him!!!! cue another 50k of agonizing hazoff angst where jeff slowly sabotages their friendship / relationship / casual fuckbuddy situation because he feels like he will never Satisfy harry and it fills him with Shame and a gnawing sense of Failure, and naturally he communicates none of this to harry, just withdraws / distances himself, and it is very Angsty and Painful for everyone involved. (they work it out, but FIRST THEY SUFFER. are you sensing a theme here?)
