what would completely break your character?
prince dariss would be broken by the loss of his sister, she’s all he has left. after losing his parents, i can’t say that the two grew closer, as dariss had to spend so much time preparing for the role he would take so soon, but she did begin to mean more to him. deric would be broken by finding himself utterly alone. he’s tricked himself into thinking he’s so well loved and that he can get almost anything with his intelligence and charm. he wouldn’t know what to do if one day people stopped seeming like they loved him. ser eliar will one day be broken by having to settle down, or maybe he’ll just mature. at the moment, the idea of having to spend the rest of his life in one place seems like hell. lord ethaniel would be broken by any harm coming to his children. he really does want the best for them. they are the future and seeing them hurt would kill him. toman would be broken slowly, waking up to realize that he never figured out what he needed to do. or he would be broken quickly, the floodgates of the anger he hates so much spilling out into the world.
for what would your character give their life?
prince dariss would give his life for his people. that’s how he’s been trained. if it meant protecting the people of dorne, he would do it. everything is political to him because he’s known nothing else. deric likely wouldn’t give his life for anything, life is what he’s trying to enjoy. ser eliar does, whether he admit it or not, care about his home and his family. he’d give his life for them and enjoy the thrill of the fight. lord ethaniel would give his life to see his eldest son ruling as a king of the riverlands, just like the old kings before them. toman isn’t sure what he would die for, but he’d quite like to figure it out. having something worth dying for seems like a honorable thing to him.
what is your character afraid of?
prince dariss is afraid of letting his people down, shouts in the night, and traveling long distances. deric is afraid of not having enough, being alone, and commitment. ser eliar is afraid of feeling trapped, not being his own person, and small spaces. lord ethaniel is afraid of letting his family down, failing his people, and seeing her children hurt. toman is scared of being forced into something, never finding himself, and deep water.
