wanted to add more to the camping trip thing lol: after tybalt cuts off a chunk of mercutio's hair, mercutio and tybalt almost fight before benvolio intervenes. the two spend the rest of the day avoiding each other, and by night things have settled down. until benvolio thinks that the two should spend a night together in the same tent in an attempt to make up. not being able to out-stubborn benvolio, the two agree and angrily share the same tent. they spend a while not talking, (part 1)

(part 2) before they both cave and apologize. they end up spending most of the night just talking, and in the morning benvolio almost feels bad for waking them up because merc and tybs actually let themselves fall asleep near each other :^) idk i had some thoughts today ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so since prince escalus wants to enjoy the quiet in verona for as long as he can, this camping trip was planned to last at least a week. after the above, merc and tybs fall into the habit of sharing a tent every night. they get a little bit closer each time until they’re eventually on the same air mattress. ben starts leaving them to sleep while he makes breakfast with romeo and bringing it to them even though they’re not supposed to have food in the tents
