(I'm gonna try to write a starter because I really, really want you and shadow to interact so goddamn bad)

[As Winter walks down the hall, there's a rustling behind her. Could just be a kid digging through their locker or something but there's a weird, liquidy squelching noise after the rustling that sounds just wrong for a place like this.]

((OOC: XD okay coolllll))

[Winter turned around slowly, she was just walking to her class when she heard the sound, she raised an eyebrow and walked to where the source of the gross-sounding noise was coming from. She walked over kinda slowly before calling out.]

"Hello? Is someone there?"

[It was during school and during study hall that Mabel saw Winter, Winter was just sitting in the hallway on her phone trying to text someone. She was aggressively tapping her thumbs against the digital keyboard like it personally offended her, her expression focused on what she was doing before setting her phone down and putting her head on her knees, curled up as she tugged on her bangs from being upset. She didn't know Mabel was right there seeing all this play out though…at least not yet.]

[Mabel was tracing her fingers along the lockers as she walked, but stopped when she saw her friend, upset. Slowly, she approached, sneakers and striped socks making their way to her.]

"Winter? Are you okay?"

[It's a normal day pretty much at Peidmont High School, Winter sat in band class getting out her flute and talking to friends. She felt more cheery today so she was talking animatedly, using her hands as she told some stuff she did yesterday to her friends, she was in a big friend group even in just her band class. About 5-6 other people were smiling, nodding, and commenting on what she was saying. Winter got distracted though when she saw Dipper walk into class and she excused herself, putting down her flute near her case and went over to him.]

"Hey Dipper!! What's up??"

[Winter greeted with a wave and a small smile on her face, stuffing her hands in her hoodie pockets.]

"Oh, um- hi, Winter!"

[Dipper tried to wave a little, which was a bit difficult considering he was holding the body of his sousaphone. He set it carefully on the floor and shrugged in response.]

"Just, setting up, you know."

[Winter picked up her phone that was nearby and smiled as Mabel was calling her and she quickly picked it up to be greeted by Mabel's face]

[Winter receives a message on her phone, seemingly from a random number, but it's soon made clear who it's from.]

Hey, it's Dipper, Mabel gave me your number :)

I know we've seen each other for studying and stuff, but I couldn't really figure out how to say it, so... sorry about what happened when we tried hanging out at the library.

I was having a really weird week, I wasn't sleeping and that was definitely affecting my anxiety and my behavior, I don't want things to be awkward if they don't have to be.

[Winter heard the notification sound of her phone and checked it, she looked down and briefly smiled at the text before starting to type and sending a message.]

"Hey Dip! It's nice to hear from you, and I understand that sometimes not getting enough sleep can affect how you act it's okay! And the library thing was fine I just wasn't expecting you to just leave like that hahaha, I hope you're doing better now! And if it's easier to talk over text we can do that instead 乁⁠|⁠ ⁠･⁠ ⁠〰⁠ ⁠･⁠ ⁠|⁠ㄏ"
