to answer a question of the ages:
pineapple does not belong on pizza. it’s too wet and too pungent, and even when you pick it off, it still tastes like pineapple.
and another question of the ages:
candy corn rules! you just have to have it fresh.
another question:
no. pumpkin does not belong in everything. neither does peppermint. pumpkin is old, and not everyone likes it, either. peppermint, like all otherwise lovely aromatics, is overused to the point it tastes chemical-y, like toothpaste.
for fall flavors, let’s start bringing back apple-cinnamon and pear-ginger. I also think of white chocolate and maple, white chocolate maple and bourbon, and my “spice cake” combo: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom—there’s also the “apple pie” variant with allspice swapped out for cardamom.
for wintry flavors, let’s bring forth green apple, chocolate-orange, chocolate-ginger, and straight gingerbread. Let’s do hot chocolate, Mexican hot chocolate, and mulled wine, too.
