Hi friends!! I had a lovely weekend in Michigan, I hope you all had great weekends too!
Indy Mini W10D5 - easy 5
On Friday morning, I got up extra early to make sure my run was done so that way I could leave early to start my drive. I just did them at the gym at work, nothing exciting!
I got to take the afternoon off, so I headed to MI even earlier than normal. That night we had dinner at Scott’s parents house for his moms birthday, and I finally got to meet Scott’s sisters new baby! She had him 3 weeks ago and he was so sweet and snuggly! I loved meeting him :)
Indy Mini W10D6 - LONG 12
I decided to do my long run on Saturday this week again. I thought it was going to by way colder than it turned out to be. It was actually pretty nice out! It was cold, around 30, but super sunny so that made things much better!
This run went pretty well! I had to stop a few times because my headphones were being really weird, so that was a bit annoying. I headed out and did 5.8 miles to start and stopped back at Scott’s for water and a gu. Then I went back out for 2.2 to get to 8, then picked Scott up to join me for the final 4!
I lost a bit of steam towards the end, as well as running into a head wind. But I did my best to not get overwhelmed and just kept moving forward. And Scott was there to distract me which I always love :)
I think I need to fuel more for these long runs. I don’t think 1 gu was enough, because I could feel my energy dropping for the last quarter of this run. But I’m glad I was able to pick it up for the final mile and finish strong! I’ll just to have to plan different fueling for next time :)
The rest of Saturday Scott and I made dinner and had my parents and brother over! It was a really nice night! We had good food and played some fun card games. After everyone left Scott and I met some friends out too, which was a fun time as well! Great, fun Saturday :)
Indy Mini W10D7 - super easy 2 ;)
Staying out late and Daylight Savings time = a sleepy Lindsay! So rather than getting up early to run, I opted to sleep in and relax with Scott. After church and lunch, Scott and I went for a walk to McDonalds for shamrock shakes. Definitely happy with my decision :)
This weekend was a great one for me! Lots of fun, food, and family! Doesn’t get much better than that :)
Winter vibes ❤
