With all the donations in and all the currencies converted to USD, we have surpassed the goal of $1000 and raise almost double last year's total! We did it--
or, rather, YOU DID IT.
It is amazing to see donations pour in from all over the world. And to know how concretely it goes to supporting the vulnerable--providing legal help to detained migrants, providing food, clothing, and shelter, assisting people fleeing persecution in their home countries, and making sure they don't die of thirst in the desert or drown in the sea. Those are just some of the things done by the groups you donated to, which ranged from the two recommended in the rulespost to groups all over the world in different countries.
This is our most successful holiday season fundraiser--I believe it has only been surpassed by the emergency bailout fundraiser in the middle of the 2020 BLM protests. I am so grateful to everyone who participated, whether by bidding or offering items ranging from handbound books, pottery, art, stuffed animals, embroidery, custom fics, and more.
