It's a beautiful sunny day today, but instead of going for a walk, I've stayed inside gelli printing. I'm loving it! This is a pic I took the other day of a bike in central Athens with pics from Clockwork Orange - one of my favourite films of the '60s? '70s? It wasn't allowed to be shown in the UK for a number of years so when I went to Munich & saw it was showing at one of the English speaking cinemas, I dragged Uli along to see it again. I hated that the films were all dubbed there. What's wrong with subtitles guys? We even saw a Monty Python film once in German - frightful, it lost so much of the quirky humour. I believe things have changed a bit now & you can see more films in the original version. Had such fun this afternoon with my #gelliplate. I'm no longer able to do the intricate designs I used to because of the sad state of my dodgy thumb & fingers so I had to look for a different way to express myself. Thought printing might be fun .... and it IS! Spent a few hours making the backgrounds for birthday cards I plan to give to family & friends. I've left most of my art materials on Ios, so I'll finish them off when I get back there.
