Preparing Your Classic or Vintage Car for Winter Storage
Winterising a classic car is essential for preserving its condition during the cold months when it’s not in use. Winterising the Worms
As a shepherd brings in the sheep when the snow begins to lay. As the temperature began to drop, I moved the worms into The Potting Shed.
If the weather gets really cold the entire wormery can freeze. As a precaution against the cold I always bring mine inside, place an old woollen jumper on the top layer of the wormery and wrap the whole thing in bubble wrap. They do a good job with the compost and provide great plant feed and I think the least we can do is make sure they don't get too cold.
I've has a wormery for a couple of years now and despite not knowing one worm from another (they all look alike to me) I am quite attached. I'll report back on how they fared over the winter come spring.
Summer was here again. Summer, summer, summer. I loved and hated summers. Summers had a logic all on their own and they always brought something out in me. Summer was supposed to be about freedom and youth and no school and possibilities and adventure and exploration. Summer was a book of hope. That's why I loved and hated summers. Because they made me want to believe.
