I think that it's awesome that you *get it* as a D&D newbie! Most newbies in my experience see the limits on spell casters as a huge negative, and think that being a big, bad fighter who can kill may things is the best way to go. You can see the bigger picture, and let me tell you, that makes the *best* party member. *I'd* love to play with you in my party, that's for sure. You are going to have so much fun!

I’m already having so much fun! I have an awesome DM and an awesome group, we’ve only had two sessions so far and I can already tell this is going to be a great campaign.

Being a big, bad fighter is cool when that’s what you want to be, we’ve got a straightforward Protection Fighter in our party and she’s the bees knees! But listening to The Adventure Zone made me want to play a flip wizard, really really bad.

I love the fact that you didn’t just try to plug the GF characters into the SW roles - they have their own story in that universe

that’s my favorite way to create AUs tbh. having things change because stories are character-based!

I must snicker at your “outdated” tag - I have Frank SInatra and The Monkees in my library. And once I burn a few more CDs, Glenn Miller will be in the mix, too… I just love all kinds of music - it’s neat that you do, too!

nah, i meant outdated as in “not really my taste in music anymore” -- aka songs i donwloaded a few years ago and don’t listen to very often now

if we want to talk the age of my music library, i have everything from classic rock to classical music in the “old” category

It would take a little bit of saving up for, but they do have recorders to take cassette tape recordings and convert them to mp3s. I need to do that myself

yeah!! i think my dad might actually have one? i know he converted a bunch of his old playlists to digital a few years back

i’d have to try to track down the cassettes too though, it’s a scavenger hunt all around......
