i know people think brassius and atticus would get along well because they're so similar, but what if it's the opposite

imagine: hassel brings his best art student to meet his artist friend, and immediately the hatred between them is palpable. it's like when you have two cats in the same house. brassius and atticus are throwing these petty bitchy thinly-veiled jabs at each other, and hassel is in the middle trying to "ladies, ladies, you're both beautiful" them (it's not working).

atticus thinks brassius's work is try-hard and pretentious, brassius thinks atticus's work is tacky and shallow, hassel is sweating profusely thinking "what have i done". their hatred will go on for many years and transcend time and space. also, brassius having pointless beef with a teenager is funny.

going through some of the fanworks out there involving volo, i really think some people need to just.... make an oc

yes he has some kind of trauma that's mentioned once in the game, but i think people focus too much on that and try to twist him into being purely a victim... if you need to sand down all the flawed, interesting parts of a character to make them more palatable then i strongly believe you should just make a new character

juliana: 15. baby face mcgee. she doesn't mind because people think she's cute and give her candy

nemona: 16, but bordering on 17. arven only has a few months on her

penny: 15 again, gets mistaken for younger like juliana does, but actually hates it. the difference is that juliana is a late bloomer and not done growing yet, penny will be small forever

arven: 17, but since his parents are never around, he's been taking care of himself for years. so most people assume he's an adult

giacomo: i used to think of him as strictly 19 but he keeps getting older in my mind. early 20s feels right for him now. by the end of the week he'll be 87 having tea with opal

mela: 15, wears heavy makeup specifically to make herself look older (it doesn't work)

atticus: 16 exactly, i can't explain it but this age is right for him. the chuuni phase is something he'll grow out of within the next year or two

ortega: like 11-12? this thing hasn't hit puberty. the other star bosses mostly treat him as an equal, but he still gets babied on occasion

eri: she's 17, she's just built like the rock and has an atlas complex so everyone thinks she's older. "you're so mature for your age!" type of gal

arven is annoyed by nemona being younger than him but taller, even if it's only by like an inch (he's gonna have to wear heels and cope).

eri has a habit of taking on responsibility for others and tries to be the protector/leader of team star in penny's absence, but the others always go to giacomo if they need help (he's the oldest and the one who makes the rules, and they worry about putting too much burden on eri since she tries to handle everything herself... that, and giacomo is the most mentally stable by a long shot)
