The Asset- no, Bucky. He must think of himself as James Buchanan Barnes now. HYDRA was no longer his master, and neither were the soviets. Bucky startled at Darcy’s voice. He’d only heard her speak a handful of times in the past week that he’d been living in Stark’s atrocity of a building, and she’d never spoken to him before.

“Боже мой, sorry, didn’t uh, didn’t notice you,” He had jumped three feet in the air, and his hand was on the side of his hip where his knife used to be, but he was okay, really. “Yeah, go ahead. I don’t mind.”

Darcy took a step back when he jumped, a worried look crossing her face, though it quickly changed it to a small, apologetic smile. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you,” she said. “I, uh, made some hot chocolate and I thought you might like some. It’s really good, if I do say so myself.”

She took a cautious step towards him once more and held the mug out to him while being careful not to make any sudden movements. Startling him again was not something she wanted to do. “I’m Darcy, by the way.”
