Happy late birthday, Gladstone Gander!
Although it may be late, but it is certainly the same month. In January 1948, Carl Barks wrote and drew and later published a comic strip called "Wintertime Wager", where Donald's cousin named Gladstone Gander is first mentioned and appears for the first time. Yes, happy Donald's cousin who is constantly lucky, but hates to work and is really a jerk. However, that does not mean that he is not an unkind person, in fact he can be a good person if he makes an effort. Apart from Barks' comics, he also appears in other comics, especially European and partly in Brazilian comics, he appears in the video game "Quack Attack" and in both versions of Ducktales. He is often in conflict with Donald mostly over Daisy, appears frequently with his cousins (Fethry Duck and Gus Goose) and has several girlfriends (and not just Daisy and Magica, there are more like Linda Paper and Feather Mallard). He also has cousins and his nephew Shamrock who looks like him. Unfortunately, he also has a tragic history of his parents. All in all, I wish him a happy birthday (although it was drawn by Barks on August 15, 1947, yet his official birthday is in January) and now pictures of Gladstone Gander, his family and his friends from the beginning to the present day.
