Summary: He's standing right there in front of you looking better than ever but you saw his body. You identified him. How is he standing in front of you?
A/N This chapter is very much like "Returning Home" with just a few changes for anyone who's already read that.
Weeks pass and you don't see the silhouette again. Saul doesn't seem worried about it so you tell yourself that it's nothing. You're just feeling stressed seeing as how the anniversary of Dan's death is coming up. That's the reason you're having the nightmares, seeing things that aren't really there. Saul knows this too and he always gives you a little space as the anniversary date inches closer and normally, you'd appreciate it. But this time something's different. You feel it in your bones but you can't explain it - you just know you need to keep him close.
“Have you slept at all?” Saul asks when he wakes up the next day. You’ve just gotten out of the shower grabbing some clean clothes.
"Two hours. It's fine," you shrug. He's still in bed looking very inviting but you need to get outside and get some fresh air. The sun has barely begun to rise yet but you've been tossing and turning all night until the point of insanity so now you need to get outside.
"I was thinking I'd prepare a trail for the students to track? It's been a while since they got to hone that skill." Saul agrees getting out of bed and walks over to hug you.
"I could come." It's that morning you discover just how close the Burned Ones are getting to the school. Being one of the most experienced trackers when it comes to Burned Ones also means that you live each day wondering in fear of not making it back. The soldier in you tells you that it is normal to do what you do but your heart hates it. Your heart hates it so much that sometimes you wonder if it’ll be able to bear it. The school attack scares you because the barrier was supposed to always be there and now it isn’t. All the drama is enough to convince you and Saul that you need a vacation once the school is safe and it’s time for summer vacation.
When you return to school, you’re shocked to learn that Rosalind has taken over. You know Farah would never step down voluntarily and you fear for what has happened to her. But the man standing next to Rosalind is the face that draws your attention. Time seems to stop as you take his appearance in. How is it possible?
“Dan?” you exclaim. Your voice lures him in as he looks for the source. When he locks eyes with you, pure terror settles in your bones. Saul is still holding your hand completely in shock.
“Andreas?” Confusion takes over when you hear Saul call him Andreas. He's supposed to be dead. You identified his body for Christ's sake.
“I hope you’re ready for another year of teaching,” Rosalind smiles satisfactory and you swallow well aware that you and Saul are outnumbered.
“Of course,” Saul says gripping onto your hand tightly. It’s time to play the game if you want to survive. You tell yourself to keep breathing but your body is trembling. Images of his dead body flash before your eyes but here he is breathing.
“We most definitely are, headmaster.” You give her a little nod which she returns. It’s a struggle to keep your mind empty but too much is going on for you to risk Rosalind taking a peak.
“If you don’t mind, I’d love a good shower. We’ve been travelling for quite some time now.” Rosalind nods already distracted by something behind you. It gives you a moment to look over at Saul who’s white as a sheet. Behind you, the Winx girls are arriving laughing and joking. That’s what caught Rosalind’s attention.
“Y/N?” You look up to find Dan’s eyes transfixed on you. Then he smiles giving you the creeps.
“It’s good to see you in the daylight.” Shock fills your veins when you realise he was the silhouette that night. You push all feeling aside knowing that right now you need to get away from Dan.
“I thought I killed him,” Saul whispers as you drag him with you inside. Your mind is screaming for answers that you don't have right now but you need to keep your calm. Something bigger is going on here and you can't let yourself come undone - not now.
“What are you talking about? How do you even know Dan?” you ask locking the door to your room to make sure no one enters without the two of you being prepared.
“Dan? I’m talking about Andreas.” You’re really trying to put two and two together but right now it adds up to 5 and you have no idea how.
“The man next to Rosalind is Dan. I used to know him when I lived on Earth,” You don’t say that you almost married him but your blushing cheeks tells a different story of your relationship with that man.
“His name is Andreas, not Dan. And he’s Sky’s father.” You bolt over to the dresser searching for any photo album. It’s never occurred to you that you haven’t seen a photo of Andreas. It doesn’t take too long to find a picture of him and Saul together laughing. Andreas is Dan, Dan is Andreas.
“He must’ve used an alias to keep people from finding out he was alive,” you say staring at the photo suddenly feeling sick. Maybe his identity had been compromised, maybe he left to prepare for whatever was going on now. So many things about him made sense now; always looking over his shoulder, not wanting his photo taken. He wanted to prevent prove of your life together.
“We have to find out what they want. We have to talk to Sky.” You both hurry out to find Sky but it’s too late. He’s already talking to Andreas. The chance of the little boy not siding with his returned father is minimal meaning you and Saul will have to figure this out on your own.
“I’m not sure what he’s doing here especially with Rosalind, but it can’t be good, Y/N.” You agree knowing that it’ll be up to you and Saul to figure out what's going on. You can only hope that it won’t get messy but it seems pointless to hope something won’t happen when you already know this won’t be pretty.
You spend the weekend apart wanting to uphold one of the many traditions of getting married. You never really cared much for traditions when living in the Otherworld but you knew Dan Sear was a traditional man and you wanted him to have the wedding he dreamed of. You’d been surprised just how much he cared about the wedding and doing it right, but you just wanted him to be happy. So, here you are in the powder room getting ready with a swarm of your friends from Earth.
“Just a bit more blush,” Sarah says hitting your face multiple times with a makeup brush.
“You keep going at it like that and I’ll be bruising on my wedding day,” you tease her and she instantly softens her hand movements but still adds: “Well, you’re supposed to wear something blue, right?” It doesn’t take much longer for your friends to declare you ready which is lucky considering the ceremony started five minutes ago. You rush out and Sarah gives the signal for the music to start playing.
“Cold feet?” she smirks catching you trying to sneak a peak of the aisle and your soon-to-be husband.
“I’m not hav-” You never finish that sentence. Time freezes when you see the priest stand there but no Dan. Why wouldn’t he be here?
“Someone get me my phone,” you whisper and Sarah is quick to run back and retrieve it for you. There are no new messages or even a voicemail. You try calling him but he doesn’t pick up.
“Where is Dan?” you ask. Finally, a question Sarah has no answer for. You call off the wedding that day and you’re mortified by what’s happened. No one has been able to reach him and you can’t shake this feeling that something awful has happened to him. He wouldn’t do this to you. The police say they can’t help since he hasn’t been gone long enough for him to be considered missing which you find absolutely ridiculous. One of the officers even has the audacity to tell you that it’s normal for men to get cold feet.
“I know my fiancé. He wouldn’t do this to me,” you had said to the officer. But no matter what you said, they couldn’t help you. Dan Sear was not a missing person. You already know what’s about to happen when you get the call five days later.
“Sarah, I can’t do this alone.” You’re clutching her arm so tightly you’re positive it’ll bruise, but you can’t focus on that right now. You have to identify his body and your gut feeling knows that it’ll be him. She comes with you to the station where the same officer that told you he just got cold feet is waiting to drive you to the morgue.
“I’m very sorry,” he says leading you inside but you ignore him. Maybe if he’d taken you seriously, Dan would still be alive.
“It might not be him,” Sarah says still holding onto the hope you’ve already lost. You’re going in there expecting the worst and that’s what you get. He looks so pale.
“What happened to him?” you ask almost choking on the words. You were supposed to be married by now, you weren’t supposed to be mourning his death. God, it looked almost as if he was sleeping but you knew you’d never get to look into those beautiful eyes again.
“They’re looking into it but right now, it seems like it was a case of wrong time, wrong place.” Sarah hugs you tightly promising you’ll be okay over and over again but you can’t hear her over the sound of your heart breaking.
You wake up bathed in sweat trying to catch your breath. Tears are flowing freely almost the same as they did in the dream. You have no idea why you’d start having these dreams again now when it had been four years since it happened last. You look to your side feeling yourself calm down as you watch his chest rise and fall with his breathing. You want to wake him up and look into his eyes but you know he has an early morning and you don’t want to be the reason he didn’t sleep. Instead you tiptoe out onto the balcony eager for some fresh air. You see something shimmer in the moonlight and you try to see what it is. Your blood runs cold when you notice the silhouette. Someone is watching you hidden between the trees.
“Saul?” you call out confident that whoever is watching you won’t be able to hear you so far away. When Saul stumbles out on the balcony, you take your eyes off of the person for just a second and when you look again, whoever it was is gone.
“What’s wrong?” he asks. You want to tell him about the person watching you but you start doubting yourself. It was probably an animal or something as scared as you were.
“I thought I saw something,” you say eyes fixed at where you felt confident you’d seen someone.
“Marco is out doing some reckon. Maybe he got a little too close to the school,” Saul says and you’re more than ready to accept his explanation. It was probably the headlights of the car you’d seen.
“Sorry for waking you up. Go back to sleep,” you say kissing his cheek.
“Only if you join me,” he replies pulling you with him. You shake your head trying to get rid of the unsettling feeling that’s taken residence in your bones. You want to believe that you saw Marco but it felt different. You knew that silhouette.
Good morning. May I please have 14 + 12 for Andreas x reader ft Saul. Fluff. This is when he comes back at the end of season 1.

I wasn’t entirely sure what you meant by “ft” so I just kind of went with whatever came to mind. I hope you like it! 💛
-----------------------
He knows it the second he sees Andreas is back. It hits him like a ton of bricks but he knows there’s no avoiding it. You’d been seeing Andreas when tragedy hit. With time, you could’ve loved Andreas but you never got to find out. Instead Saul was there every step of the way and in the end, love blossomed. So, Saul knows that he’s going to have to let you go and he will because all he really wants is for you to be happy - even if that’s not with him.
When Andreas pulls him aside, he’s already prepared what he’s going to say. He’ll take a step back setting you free.
“I know you did what you thought was right and I can’t fault you for that. But can you fault me for doing the same thing?” He doesn’t expect Andreas to let this go so easily but it seems 16 years is too long to hold onto that kind of anger.
“I never meant for it to get that far.”
“I had to let go of my resentment towards you. It consumed me. I don’t blame you anymore. Neither should you.” Relief fills Saul’s heart but it doesn’t change what he has to do now.
“I have to ask... You and Y/N?” There’s no anger or judgement in his tone. Saul feared the resentment but there’s nothing. Just two men who fought for what they believed in.
“Fight for them. Or spend the rest of eternity trying to figure out what happened to the best part of you. It’s your choice.” He walks away after that. He’ll step aside but that doesn’t change the fact that his heart is breaking by doing so. Andreas doesn’t need to be told twice. He’s spent the past 16 years waiting to return to you.
“I thought you died,” you say clenching your jaw. You didn’t have enough time with Andreas before everything went wrong to say that you loved him. But you knew it would only be a matter of time before it happened.
“I’m sorry. I know I caused you a great deal of pain.” You want to be upset with him for not coming back to you sooner but there’s no point. He’s here now.
“I’m with Saul now,” you say scared of what you might do if he asks you to take him back.
"He was your first love. I intend to be your last. However long it takes.“ And it turns out, it doesn’t take that long after all. The very same night, Saul pulls you aside to let you know that you’re free to do whatever you need to do. He’s taking himself out of the equation which just proves how good a man he really is. You kiss his cheek before going out to find Andreas. You’d been happy with Saul but you knew Andreas was the person you were meant to be with.
“I’m ready,” you tell him. It the first time in years, Andreas has felt pure happiness. Finding a rhythm with Andreas is easier than you’d ever hoped for. It’s like all the pieces finally fit together. And sometimes, you think about your future if Andreas had never come back but you just don’t see it anymore. Andreas is your future now and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
In time, Sky forgives his father too. It’s the final piece for all of you to be able to be a father. You know how important it is for Saul to stay in Sky’s life and no one questions that. You become one big family and you don’t understand how you got so lucky but you try to just enjoy the moment for what it is.
Request: She's in her mid to late 20's and a teacher at alfea. She's a blood witch from asterdell and fakes a relationship/fairy with Saul for maybe 2 or more years to gain everyone's trust. When Andreas arrives she kisses him. She also trained Beatrix with Andreas and mentors riven at alfea. Anonymous
Two years and going strong. That’s how long you’ve been at Alfea infiltrating the staff and finding out the secrets you’ll need when they come. Somewhere along the way, it was decided that you should start a relationship with Saul. You had a theory Andreas wanted to get back at him and frankly, you understood him. He was left for dead by his best friend who went back and took over raising his only son. You couldn’t blame him for being a little vindictive. Being from Aster Dell meant that you sort of had a foot in both camps. You hated Rosalind for destroying your village and killing your coven but you hated Saul for trying to kill Andreas too. You didn’t trust anyone other than Andreas and the fact that he told you he didn’t know who lived in Aster Dell. But you had to play the game right now to keep up appearances and that meant getting out of the shower and go in to wake up Saul.
“Rise and shine,” you say kissing the tip of his nose. You’re still dripping from the shower but he doesn’t care as he grabs you and pulls you down on top of him.
“What if I just want to stay in bed?” he asks not even bothering to open his eyes. What once felt alien to you now comes naturally as you caress his cheek and give him those doting eyes you’ve come so accustomed to fake.
“Then we have a lot of students who will be disappointed,” you reply trying to get up but he refuses to let go. This is not uncommon on the morning. It’s the only time of day where he relaxes and takes off the soldier persona he normally carries.
“Five more minutes?” he asks but you remain firm. It’s time to get up.
“You get three more minutes while I finish up in the bathroom and then we really have to go,” you say doing exactly what you just said. It’s tedious waiting for when Andreas will come. You try to guide Bloom in the right direction but the rest of her group continues to ruin every single one of your plans. It’s the reason why you tell Beatrix to become friends with Riven so you can get more influence on Bloom. It’s too easy for you to recruit those two after having trained Beatrix for years and mentored Riven ever since you came to work here.
“We need Bloom to get Rosalind free and it has to be soon. They’re already suspicious of you,” you whisper to Beatrix feeling like things are about to crumble. You know it’s only a matter of time before Farah starts realising what’s going on and then you’ll be very alone without Andreas to have your back.
“Do you think I don’t know that? I’ve got it under control,” Beatrix replies in her usual snarky tone but you’re not having a teenage fairy talk to you in that way and she knows that.
“Choose your words carefully. You’re important to the plan, but you’re not vital.” You see the fear in her eyes and know it’s because of your powers as a blood witch. You’re stronger than her and she knows that.
“Sorry.” You don’t mean to scare her but you’re lashing out and she’s the unfortunate soul that has to take the heat. It’s too much even for you. But it does the trick. Rosalind is freed by Bloom and you can finally reunite with Andreas. And while you hate seeing Rosalind thriving, you put it to the back of your head when you walk over to Andreas and kiss him. Finally.
“Y/N?” Your happiness is cut short but Saul standing behind you and saying your name with the look of a lost puppy. At last, you can let him know how you truly feel. How you hate him for almost killing Andreas and for stealing away Sky as if he’s Saul’s own son. You’re about to tell him everything when Andreas stops you.
“You really think you could take over my life? Steal the girl and my son after you tried to kill me? You must’ve known it would come back to bite you in the ass.”
“You’d side with him? I only tried to stop him from killing all those people at Aster Dell. Did he tell you about that?” Saul yells visibly upset. You can’t blame him for being angry with you.
“I won’t argue with you. What I did was a means to an end,” you say feeling strength in you and Andreas’ intertwined fingers, “you are collateral damage.” You don’t care much for Rosalind or Luna standing next to you but you know which side you belong on. And Rosalind knows your powers are invaluable to her. You’re still playing the game.
I will finish the final requests in my inbox this week meaning I'll open up for new requests Sunday evening and I'm very excited to see what ideas you guys have. Thank you for always being so kind to me and showing your support. It's greatly appreciated and a huge motivation to keep writing 💛
