"Sam!", you laughed as you broke away from his suprise kiss. He had an arm wrapped around your waist and was grinning and you couldn't help but grin back.
"So, you're like, officially a thing now", Beatrix noted, putting down her cigarette and blowing smoke out, raising an eyebrow. You could only nod and glance sideways at Sam, who seemed almost too proud of himself for having snuck up on you. "Congrats?" She sounded as though she didn't quite know what to tell you now. "Is that a thing people say?"
You only shrugged, but you wouldn't have had time to answer anyway, because Riven had come at that exact second and taken Beatrix' cigarette away from her, - as usual, without any word of greeting - barely giving Sam a look, but raising his eyebrows at you just as Bea had done before.
"Well you're in a good mood, Riv", you muttered, turning away from him and towards your boyfriend instead, who didn't seem to have been all that interested in either of the others anyway. You didn't quite know how you'd managed to end up with such different people around.
"Wanna go somewhere quieter?", you asked, flashing a smile, and then pointing at Beatrix and Riven behind you. "No one's gonna miss me here right now."
"Gladly", Sam muttered, grabbing your hand and pulling you after him so quickly that you had to suppress a shocked yelp and could do nothing but clumsily follow.
Barely a moment after, you had your back pressed against a wall and his lips on yours and his hands on your hips and were running yours up his shirt, tugging at his collar, pulling him closer and closer and closer, not caring at all that despite having found a less busy spot, anyone could find you if they wanted to find you. They could all go to hell. Because Sam was here, and he was kissing you as though he'd never done that before, as though he never wanted to stop again- Your fingers reached his neck, trailing up his sensitive skin, brushing his throat. He broke away as a sudden shiver went through him. You had to suppress a giggle - or tried to, and failed, and couldn't calm down to the point that your giggle turned into laughter so loud you had to hide your face in his shirt as to not be heard by the whole school.
"Sorry", you wheezed once you were able to speak again. "I didn't- didn't want to ruin the moment. It's not my fault that, you know, you're so sensible."
Riven watched from where he stood, barely listening to Beatrix monologue anymore, as you reached up again and pulled Sam down once more. His hand balled into a fist at his side. How amazing it must feel to be him. How amazing it would feel to bash his head in.
"Riven? Are you stalking them or what? Did you not hear me talk?" Beatrix snapped her fingers in front of his face. "Ass. Give me that cigarette back."
Two weeks later, you were sweaty and exhausted and grinning from ear to ear as Riven set you down on the table and you wrapped your legs around him.
"Sam is lovely", you muttered, your breath as ragged as his was. He barely made an acknowledging sound, his eyes locked onto your lips. "He's great. He doesn't deserve me cheating on him. But shit, I'll break up with him tomorrow if that'll make it socially acceptable for me to just-"
Kiss you, you'd wanted to say, but Riven had already taken the words out of your mouth and done that himself.
His hands rested on your thighs, his chest against yours. You pulled away from him, which had him opening his eyes again and strengthening his grip, impatient.
"You sure we're alone here?", you asked, entirely out of breath now.
"Yeah." His face was so close, so, so close to yours again already, if you could just lean down- "Your little boyfriend won't find us in here."
God. You didn't know that was all you'd had to hear right now.
You were breaking any and every rule you'd ever heard of. School rules for one, but certainly all kinds of relationship rules that existed out there. But you couldn't care less. Not with Riven's lips on yours. Not with him so close. Not as you grabbed hold of his shirt and tugged him even closer.
Allowing your hands to travel up and down, from his arms to his neck to his throat, and just as you were about to move them up to brush through his hair, a shiver went through him. And he pulled back.
You bit your lip. "Sensitive, are we? I know that from somewhere, I think", you teased.
He grabbed your wrists with both hands in a single, quick movement that you couldn't have seen coming even if you'd expected it, putting your fingers back to rest on his throat where you just seemed to have found his new favourite spot. "Don't compare me to your shitty boyfriend", he got out between gritted teeth, making you grin once more today. You had actually found his sensitive spot. "He couldn't even keep you tied to him."
"Alright, Riv", you murmured, trailing your fingertips right along where he wanted to have them.
"And say that again", he mumbled, eyes closed, lips so close to yours now you could feel his breath on them.
"Riv"
"Again."
You left a sloppy trail of little kisses on his jaw and his chin before deciding to give in to him.
"Riv", you whispered. "Kiss me."
And so he did.
