I’m kinda fascinated that, within the span of a year, we’ve gotten a combined number of three new long lost siblings for Bloom stemming two unrelated spin offs for Winx Club (Beatrix/Briar from the Fate comics and Damien from the reboot, respectively). Obviously the “corrupted/evil sibling separated at birth” trope is reasonably popular, so I’m not surprised it got used at least once in this franchise, but still, it was such a surprising overlap that occurred within 13 months of each other.

Now that Bloom has gotten long lost siblings from two different sections of the WCU (Winx Cinematic Universe), I NEED content of Damien, Beatrix, and Briar all together. I’m talking royal family portraits, I’m talking AUs with Beatrix and Damien as a villain duo, I’m talking swap AUs where they’re in each others’ franchises, and ALL THE REST! There is SO MUCH potential, and even as an artist myself, I cannot actualize all the potential on my lonesome. 😔🎨🖌️

I know it's been years but I still cannot believe the casting of the fate cast. To have musa and flora being casted as white girls.. the audacity. Flora being casted as a fat white girl because *representation*. Yes. Get rid of the brown girl. (Also the fat thing is 100% due to fans always drawing her fat. This happened even before fate was a thing). And Musa being played by a white girl. idc that her grandpa was part singaporean or other asian country. She's white!? Let her be played by an asian person. Chinese, japanese, korean, vietnamese, taiwanese, whatever. Anyone that actually LOOKS like musa. (I am specific about LOOKS. You can cast an chinese person who looks nothing like musa, and that's still wrong. Cast someone that fits her. You don't say anything if a french person plays a german person, so who cares if a korean person plays as musa. Especially since she is not from earth in the first place.)

Don't take graphic novels so seriously. The graphic novels don't continue Fate The Winx Saga; they changed some things due to poor work by the publisher and the author. If it had been done better, many things from the graphic novel wouldn't have happened, and Briar wouldn't even exist. Perhaps the third volume will "undo" some elements since Icy and Darcy will be in it.

It's even likely that Briar will disappear from the novels since nobody cares about that character.

This is a confession about the Fate graphic novels, so I fully expect that 99% of people aren't gonna know what I'm talking about (lol).

Now that the Fate: The Winx Saga graphic novels have introduced the concept of Wild Fairies, I'm kinda wondering what a Wild Fairy transformation would look like. Like- every other element channels their respective element to form their wings- fire wings for fire fairies, mineral wings for earth fairies, etc.- so what does that mean for a Wild Fairy? Would they just magnetically attract all the squirrels in a 5 mile radius until they formed a vaguely wing-like shape on their back? Would a giant eagle fly down and open its wings behind them? Could they channel an animal trait and just grow actual butterfly wings themselves? I really wanna know, and I don't think I'm ever gonna find out.

Because I am in a ranting mood...

There were some nice things to come out of Winx Fate season 1 (Jacob Dudman's golden retriever character Sam and his relationship with Musa, and the start of a poly relationship between Dane, Riven and Beatrix) but season 2 ruined that completely.

The queer poly rep was an absolute abomination and they baited us in the trailers of season 2. Riven/Dane was so toxic, and Dane was like a nothing character.

Terra becomes gay all of a sudden in the second season (which was probably damage control to the white washing allegations)

No Techna.

Several characters get erased. Nearly all the specialists and supporting characters. Bloom's cute bunny!

The worldbuilding of the original show... The various magical worlds get erased.

I watched both seasons, and while the actors tried their best and I do feel some things were good (guys becoming fairies and girls becoming specialists), most of it was haphazard.

I did like Beatrix but the show killed her unceremoniously.

The follow up comics to the show (yes, the show had follow up comics) showed Bloom, Beatrice and a third character as triplets, and daughters of Farah (she was apparently Bloom's mom all this time??)

Speaking of Farah... Farah was one of the good things to come out of the show. And Silva, and Sam, but Farah gets killed just to hype another character. Sam gets messed with and written off to give Musa some angst.

All things considered, I somewhat enjoyed Fate as its own thing, but not as an adaptation of Winx.

The new reboot... Seems to be a middle ground between the og show and Fate. I will probably watch it, but the trailers haven't been able to intrigue me yet.

I watched the first 3 seasons of Winx and from what I have heard, the storylines became repetitive from season 5 onwards, focusing more on 'power ups' than the story.

What I really want is a final season to give these characters closure. A season geared towards people who grew up with the show, but something that kids can still watch (i feel the vibes of season 3 fits this. It dealt with heavy topics like death and sacrifice, while still geared towards kids.)

Let Bloom and Sky finally marry.

Give the girls one last adventure before giving them a happy ending!

Give the Trix their redemption arc. (I know the last season of the show gave Icy a tragic past.)

Not related... The people behind Winx created this underrated show called Huntik, which I LOVED as a kid. I want that to get more seasons (it just got 2... Think of it as Indiana Jones meets Pokemon)

Maybe set that in the same continuity as Winx and give us crossovers?

I'll try. Love writing both Stella and bea and i the abusive dynamic between stella and luna interesting, especially in terms of how it shapes and impacts Stella, and how it is affected by tveir royal status, so this should be á fun project to tackle.
