I dont know if this is a dumb question, nut i was wondering if a pixie is able to bond with a male magic user. If so how would the pixie look like P.S: My english is bad

So with the way I’ve connected the pixies to biological sex, i don’t really see a way for pixies to bond with a male magic user..... kinda painted myself into a corner with that one, but ive wanted to make a companion species to the pixies for the dudes from the very beginning of my winx redo series so here we go!
SPRITES.
like the pixies, sprites are small beings born from the tree of magic, but instead of being born from the flowers and connected to the female magic users, sprites are off shoots of the tree of magic’s roots(kind of like mushroom systems) They’re slowly formed as a male magic user processes more and more magic through their core, once it reaches a certain level the sprite hatches from the mushroom cap. Sprites also have a special talent like pixies, and they announce it first before choosing their name a few days later. they live mostly underground or low on the forest floor in burrows in small packs of three to five(where as pixies tend to make their nests high in trees and not socialize with one and other). They’re also not as aggressive as pixies, and can be fairly reclusive and shy. They can wield about the same amount of magic as pixies.

Like the pixies Sprites are sexless, and mostly genderless, though they will sometimes take on the pronouns their bonded uses. While it would be really easy to label the pixies as “girls” and the sprites as “boys”, its really not accurate and kind of rude to both species.
Sprites’ tails are very strong and flexible. In Sprite culture it’s considered taboo to touch another sprites’ tail with out permission and usually only pack-mates are given permission, even accidental brushes are profusely apologized for. Sprites like to decorate their tails with items that belong/ed to their bonded. otherwise, they still have slight obsessions with items related to their talent, but not as intense as the pixies.
