I started something new after rewatching Freaky Tales for the fiftieth time so far. Hope to have it up this weekend. Here's a little taste:
“A feisty one, huh? I like it. It’s more fun when they fight back.”
Bile rises in your throat and you’re sure you’re going to be sick this time. You’re already struggling in Clint’s grasp.
“Nice face, but a body like that?” the man continues, whistling through his teeth. “She’ll pay off the rest and then some.”
“Enough.”
You let out a surprised gasp at Clint’s sudden utterance.
He speaks again: “She’s mine.”
“Yours?” the man repeats. “You want her for yourself, you're gonna have to pay for it like everyone else.”
Clint pulls you closer, breath grazing your ear. “Play along,” he whispers. “Run when I say run.”
Trying not to give away the relief in your eyes, your body tenses, coiled, preparing to do as he says.
“Now Clint,” the man says. “Don’t do anything stupid..” Clint moves in front of you as if to shield you. “Run.”
