interesting choice, though! I wasn't actually expecting this one to turn up but there is indeed a single hit, this bit from chapter 5:

He was probably counting them, which is supported by some of the facial expressions and emotional bleeds recounted by other witnesses — calm, relatively neutral, with a dispassionate concern ever so slightly tainted by something muffled, near subconscious, and extremely difficult to read from its subtlety.

For the WIP words: drink or tense?

Oo, good ones! For some reason I was wondering if anyone would send "drink," haha. I couldn't find anything unposted for "tense," so you get two three for "drink":

He stumbles to the curb. Drops down with his head between his knees. Someone hands him a bottle of water, and he forces himself to take a long drink. He immediately coughs it back up.

and from my Big Bang fic:

Taylor comes over to his place the next day and they drink wine on the couch as the sky gets dark. "Got any gin?" Taylor asks, and Buck rolls off the couch with a "Fuck, yes." They're three drinks in when he throws his phone across the room.
