“I don’t know if you’re intentionally staring at me or you’re just in a daze and happen to be looking in my direction but I can’t eat with your eyes on me like that”
Though Angelo never had an issue drinking, he didn’t visit bars that often. Usually it was in celebration of something, or if he had hit such a low that alcohol seemed to be the only cure. But this... he wasn’t sure. He wasn’t feeling shitty. He was actually feeling better than usual, and he didn’t like it. He wanted to do something stupid. Something that forced him back into his usual mood. That’s how he found himself finishing off his drink and glancing over at whoever happened to be sitting beside him. “Tell me,” he started, placing his arm on the bar table, “come here often?”
"Okay, for this next song,” Phoebe started, speaking into the end of her hairbrush, “I’m gonna need a partner.” She raised her eyebrows, looking at the only other person in her apartment, and over to her cat. “Sadly, this is not Meow Mix, so only one of you can really take on the role.” Glancing around her apartment, she ran over to her desk, grabbing her comb and offering it to the other. “Please?”
“I need you not to talk to me until I’ve had at least half of this, I don't give a damn how important you think it is. Actually, not breathing too loudly would also be appreciated. Or going away. That would be more appreciated.”
Sitting down next to someone, Alexa didn’t really care to check whether they were a stranger or not before she started speaking. “I had such a weird, and kind of disturbing, reoccurring dream for like a week straight that I ended up buying a dream dictionary to figure out what it meant but, of course, I got completely distracted and ended up reading about dreams where your teeth are falling out. Apparently that means you're insecure but I’ve had that dream before and that’s totally not me” Alexa spoke, a serious look of concern on her face.
In all honesty Seth couldn’t say exactly what he was feeling at the particular moment. is excited mood seemed to have dissipated in an instant with one new piece of news and he was absently, shuffling more than walking towards his destination. Seth barely knew where he wanted to go, he’d yet to figure out if he wanted to cry or to scream. The feminine wedding ring that had come with the letter dropped out of his pocket and made a light clink on the ground, but Seth was too dazed to even realize.
“Ah, shit,” Angelo cursed as the glass shattered across the floor of the restaurant. As much as he enjoyed talking himself down about how he did his job, this was something he hadn’t actually done before. The judgment and annoyance thrown his way sent an odd feeling in the pit of his stomach, despite his usual appreciation for it, and he was left scrambling around to get a broom and starting sweeping up the mess. Seeing a familiar face, he felt a glare set in his eyes on instinct. “I’m not in the mood,” he muttered before the other had a chance to speak.
“Did you drop this?” she asked the unsuspecting stranger, holding the condom which she had just pulled from her purse. Whenever Alexa was bored she tended to amuse herself by playing the condom trick on people, always intrigued as to how they might react.
