Talk about Aaron's relationship with Reese!!!

ask me about aaron’s relationship w/ his coven!

     Reese !!  Not so secretly, this is one of my favorite relationships he has.  After Ciaran and Lia, she’s probably the person that means the most to him.  I just really enjoy the nature of their relationship, because I think Aaron really needs someone like her in his life.  They’ve got a casual friendship, and Aaron’s not exactly flush with things like that in his life.  Plus, she’s at this great sweet spot of being important enough for him to care about her well-being but not important enough for him to end up emotionally fucking with.

     Listen, guys.  Aaron is a big, ol douche.  And so, honestly, to a lot of his coven, i think he’s kind of a joke.  While he serves a purpose, and I think they’d all prefer him alive than dead, he’s very serious and very cold, and that sort of turns into a lot of the other witches and familiars going the opposite direction and not taking him seriously at all.  ( He deserves it, okay. )

     That being said, Reese is special because she doesn’t take him seriously enough to contribute to his massive ego, but she does take him seriously enough to incorporate him into her life in a positive way.  They actually like go out and do things.  Sometimes that means flying to Florida to visit swamp vampires, and sometimes it just means they get lunch.  And I just really love that there’s one positive, casual relationship in his life like that.  They don’t have to be ride or die for each other to have a relationship that is ( I hope ) mutually beneficial and enjoyable.  He thinks she’s an absolute menace, but he secretly likes her a lot.
