I’m not super sure how happy I am to be back, but I assure you it has nothing to do with the people here who’ve continued to follow and support me, and is mostly just because Tumblr is... yaknow... friggin Tumblr. I’m starting to see its benefits over Twitter, though. For starters, it’s far easier to curate and organize here, whereas Twitter seems to straight up get off on filling peoples’ feeds with tangential trash content they never followed in the first place. Which means getting a face full of other peoples’ drama and hate when you’re specifically trimming your timeline to avoid it.

On the other hand, Twitter is a far better platform for casually interfacing with creators of large published works that inspire you.

But it feels really nice to just be doing... stuff again, without the crushing dread and depression of worthlessness that built up over the last couple years for complicated reasons (that may or may not have seeded and took root via things I can’t legally talk about), but that’s... another story, and one I’d rather not embellish because it’s done and over and I want to put it behind me and live again.

Was given a lot of freedom for the designs, had a lot of fun, though keeping the hatchy shading somewhat consistent over the breaks I took in them did take their toll on the sheer amount of time I spent finishing them up, haha.

Hello, it's Tumblr user tomatomarrow. Just wanted to say thank you <3

I moved a few hundred miles north into my boyfriend's house at the beginning of the month to help him take care of his dad, who got a dementia diagnosis in the fall. I've known my guy for fourteen years, before either of us transitioned; we've been together for five years, and when he proposes to me, I'm going to say yes. The town we live in has a crummy reputation and has been so, so welcoming to me. I have trans friends within an hour's drive, and they're introducing me to their trans friends. Everything fucking sucks right now, but those of us who are feeling it are feeling it together, and we're making an effort to keep each other safe and strong. I am trying to make my voice heard; I am trying to trust myself and my creative vision more, to extend compassion to the utmost, to advocate fearlessly for my own interests and the interest of my trans siblings, and, yes, to ask for help more often. The fact that you saw me & did what you could means that I can afford to head back to my previous place this weekend and pick up some meds that I need. You and everyone like you are a blessing and an inspiration to fight like hell.

Oh my god did Animorphs have a SHOW. It's an incredible late 90's/early 00's garbage fire and the opening theme is still one of the worst things I've ever heard. 10/10
