i think humphrey's secret guilty pleasure is gilbert and sullivan operas. because g&s clashes with the image of opera as something intentionally inaccessible and i think he dislikes the prioritization of comedy over emotional or artistic depth. but i think he appreciates the wordplay and the political satire and he can never let any of his opera buddies know that
