Nobody asked but a post from a Fanfiction Writer's commune asked "What are the main things you consider first when making a character?" and this was my reply.
“It's actually very rare for me to consider race, sexuality, or even GENDER when making a character. The three major questions to me, in order are: What is the concept, personification, or general persona of this character? What purpose do they serve in the story, or are they just cool? What is their fashion sense? After that, I do hair, outfit, and THEN choose gender and race. Most of my characters never get a sexuality. Whoever they like is whoever they like!”
Unfortunately, I have formed yet another unhealthy human attachment.
