"What a strange coincidence - I was just thinking about you two!" and enters one happy lawyer, pulling them both into something resembling a hug(?) maybe? They can figure it out.
@wise-innocence
"Ohmygoodness, Miss Yanfei!" "...!"
Surprise and joy comes from the bots in equal measure- with Giacomo rushing forward so quickly he nearly trips over his own feet, more or less throwing himself into the arms of Yanfei and squeezing her in a tight hug. Though perhaps a bit more hesitant towards the idea of physical touch, Rigatello nonetheless leans into it as well- settling metal claws carefully on the shorter twos heads in an awkward little hunched-up bear hug.
NEEDLESS TO SAY -- they've both missed her quite a bit.
"Caelus, there's something different about you now..." Yanfei mused, casually glancing over his appearance once before nodding. If not mentally, something within his spirit was shifting - whether it was a blessing or curse remains to be seen.
"However, I'm glad to see you're still alive."
Her voice manages to bring a stir of familiarity, an Elated spark as the understandable amount found a familiar cliffside known as the proper 'End'. For an instant the deeper connotation of Yanfei's impressions couldn't stop him from freezing on the spot, pivoting upon the heel and turning to see that familiar shade of rose kissed pink that never stopped enacting that impulse to close the distance between them. Lips briefly ajar, somehow the familiar line of words hadn't found himself, only this silent amazement that danced with seeing her again.
Equilibrium above you owe them their damn flowers at this point. "Like a world full of changes but hardly anything at all, huh?" Truth be told, he doesn't know the depth to such a sentiment either. Brewing in that potent cocktail known as his Experiences, growth, realization, expanded perceptions, something profound found itself seething with sharpened teeth and an earnest resolve to the surface.
"Guess you can say some long parts of lost within me are finally waking up. I'm less confused on who I actually am." Part of him genuinely wanted to laugh at that, to let the relief about this moment flood across them both. Defiant to any normal balance of personal pace set in their paces, all of it found itself crossed in a singular swoop by the Nameless as he drew Yanfei close, allowing her to feel all that Change within the soul, close and upfront.
What better way to initiate that than a hug that just says fuck I missed you above all else?
"In one piece no less. Otherwise, I knew that wild ending where you went on a space rampage would've been impossible. Couldn't let a Lord Ravager have to face some real danger here." Let that speak to the scale of confidence he has with the soul while keeping her tucked in his embrace. His broad arms gave her a squeeze that both appreciates and reflects that measure of how the heart grew fonder.
"You'll find the same ol' heart here nonetheless."

@wise-innocence sent: "Boom!" The poor wooden piece is practically slammed against the board as the winning move was played. Yanfei quickly apologized for the outburst but the excitement left her beaming. She had lost five - no, six games in a row and was beginning to lose all hopes at victory up until that point. "That's game, Mr. Zhongli. It's a shame we didn't make any wagers... should we play again?"
Zhongli's eyes widen slightly at his opponent's enthusiastic final move but soon after it brings a soft smile to his lips. She has fought valiantly, improved with every game they played, her strategy developing in real time for him to observe. Anyone else might have taken pity on her a few games ago and let her win, but Zhongli doesn't see the gain in that. While one purpose of the game is to spend time with a friend and enjoy the process, the goal that drives every move is still to win and the pieces placed on the board are the tools with which each player hones their skill. He wouldn't be doing her any real favor by treating her like a child who cannot defeat an opponent through her own wits and perseverance.
"I believe the wise things for me to do is to stop now. You have seen through my strategy, and it is the final battle that counts more than the ones that came before." He starts picking his pieces off the board and placing them back into their wooden bowl. "Perhaps you will grant me a rematch next week? I will refine my strategy or devise a new one until then. For now.. would you keep me company for another cup of tea? I am curious to hear what made you change tactics to drastically in your last fifteen moves."
@wise-innocence I'm so sorry xD ❤ I just noticed the mention then seen the ask lol 💕 bless Yanfei!
A nice stroll through Liyue was all that he'd ever want but 'quiet' seem to be the one element of the day that he'd be missing. Because of his rather helpful nature the young wandering member of the Crux fleet had stumbled upon a unique problem. One that honestly does not acquire his set of skills but also could be problematic have he left well enough alone. The story goes as follows, there were two men by the names of Huang and Liang. Huang is the average Liyue citizen middle aged man, he had a well enough paying job, a family and two children whilst Liang was a merchant with nothing much to go on because he's not told the young ronin of his past..or anything for that matter.
Huang had bought an item from the merchant Liang. The item in question was a set of knives, Huang's wife enjoys cooking a great meal for her family so a set would have been great for her he thought. Liang had even assured him the prior date that these knives were forged by his very own private blacksmith that hails from Inazuma, the country that prides themselves in their smithing. Thinking he's hit the goldmine, Huang took the knives towards his wife as a gift but as it turn out from the moment she used it...the handle cracked and the blade itself snapped in two. There was story of the other knives looking nice but being too dull to cut anything properly and Huang demanded his mora back.
But Liang insists to Kazuha that his items were top notch. Being a samurai himself Kazuha knows a thing about blades, the work and effort being put into them marks the blacksmith's pride and passion but watching these blades as they were..Huang was right..they were lackluster. “Those damn knives of yours are cheap!!! I said I want my money back!!” The crowd circling them gasps as Huang tried so hard to push himself forward but Kazuha intervened and tried keeping the angry man at bay. “Shouting and starting a fight isn't going to solve this problem..only complicate things.” The ronin says trying to keep the peace. 'I'm going to need a miracle.' He spoke within the inner thoughts of his mind.\

@wise-innocence:
"...I've come to the conclusion that we need to find you a partner. But fret not, my reserved friend, for I have compiled a list of suitable singles around Liyue!" Yanfei was clearly enthusiastic about this as she pulled out a notepad along with a pen. "Now, since I'm unsure of your sexuality or interests, I have a pretty broad rage. First off we have Ms. Ying'er of the scent shop around the corner- A very classy lady albeit a bit flirtatious. Second we have Master Zhang of Hanfeng's Ironmongers. Much more of the strong and silent type. Thoughts so far?"
Free-time comes between assignments and trips from Director Hu. He spends such idleness in the bustling expanse of Liyue Harbor. Azhdaha finds that despite all that has happened, he enjoys the life that has blossomed here. The seeds they’ve sown together has grown wonderfully, he muses to himself. How those who have been lost by the ravages of time would be awed by these sights. Slender fingers trace the rim of the cup as it clinks against the lacquered wood.
Thin brow furrow at the halflings words. “A partner?” Azhdaha parrots back. All humans at that. “Why am I in need of a partner, Ms. Yanfei? If you are very skilled at finding partners, where is yours?” Despite the frankness of his words, the Dragon King does not mean ill towards Yanfei. To him, it’s merely an honest question.
Why is this young one trying to find someone for him instead of herself? Curious.
“I have lived many years in solitary,” Azhdaha pauses in his words a moment. “I have lived many years content in my ways. Why the sudden urge to matchmake? Have you been infected by the others who speak of sharing lanterns together for the coming festivities?”
