1, 7, 13, 17, 20, & 23? :D love your blog -kristen @twentyfourhourstudybreak
01. Why did you become a studyblr?
i stumbled upon theorganisedstudent, then i reblogged some stuff, then my recommended blogs became pretty much 100% studyblrs, then time passed and here i am!
07. How do you stay motivated throughout the semester, school year, etc.?
i keep reminding myself of my ultimate goal! having a feed filled with people studying kind of makes you question yourself wth you’ve been doing, so that helps a lot, too.
13. How many hours a week do you study?
it honestly depends. some weeks i feel like a lazy pig, and others i am super motivated, so it definitely ranges.
17. Describe the biggest scholastic obstacle you’ve overcome.
getting into my dream secondary school and getting my dream psle score.
my parents didn’t even think i would get into an IP / SAP school, and my dream sec school was one of the best IP / SAP schools in singapore. they also didn’t believe i would get anything remotely close to my dream score.
those two factors really affected my self-esteem, it came to a point where i didn’t believe i could do it either. i just pushed on and led my life, i didn’t feel the need to work hard, because “what’s the point, i couldn’t get in either way”.
miraculously, i got into the top 5% of my school, got pretty good PSLE marks that i was proud of, got the EESIS scholarship, and most importantly, I GOT INTO MY DREAM SCHOOL!!
20. What is your best piece of advice about studying?
23. Have you had an instructor that has permanently influenced you?
there had been a lot of them. i had been blessed with really good teachers throughout my education.
thanks for the questions!!
