What are wish stones?
What are wish stones? Well my dear witchlings, Wish stones are a simple rock with one line around it, unbroken, untouched, with one single line going all the way around the stone, without any wisps straying off or cracks in it. This line is believed, in celtic mythology, to bring a power to the stone, and this one line gives the stone the ability to give away a wish. The legend says that if you are to wish upong the stone and keep it close to you at all times (like in your pocket or- *coughs* in your underwear if you don't have any pockets) then your wish might come true, but if you make a wish for a friend then it will most definitely come true! I recently found some wish stones at a beach and plan to make some wishes for friends and then give them out to them when their wish has come true. But make sure to not tell anyone your wish! It's a lot less fun when only you're the one who knows! Here are some images and information, ignore the second image's rocks, a lot of people mistake wish stones to have multiple white lines, but it's actually just one. .
