Pendulums-What are they and how do they work?
Hi! I’m here to answer your question, what are pendulums and how do they work? First of all, I want to explain why I’m writing about these. I recently purchased a rose quartz pendulum from one of my favourite shops and I thought why not give a little information of pendulums on my blog!
First question is: ‘What are pendulums?’ Pendulums are magickal instruments, they are used for divination, to learn and be ware of the right path to take in your life. They help guide you in the right direction by providing you with a series of answers, usually ‘yes’, ‘no’, or ‘maybe’. You ask your pendulum the question that can be answered with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and then see which way your pendulum moves.
Before you ask more serious questions about love or wealth or the future, you need to get some practice questions done to see which way it sways to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’. You can ask ‘is my name ’ or ‘is my age ’ etc etc. Facts about yourself that you know the answer to phrased into a question that can be answered with ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
Next question: ‘How do pendulums work?’ Pendulums can work in many different ways, so let’s get into a few of the most common ones.
First step: cleanse, cleanse, cleanse! This step is super important and can apply to almost anything! New crystals, new bottles or jars etc etc, anything you will be using for magick needs to be cleansed. It's important to know that most pendulums don't do well with water or salt, so try cleansing it with incense or sage or palo santo, I did mine with lavender.
The second step is to form a connection with your pendulum, leave it in your pocket or under your pillow when you go to sleep. This helps you form a deeper connection with your pendulum, and it gives you better answers, which are more clear.
Now, you don't have to have a pendulum chart, a little board you can print out or draw that had three sides on it 'yes', 'no' and 'maybe'. But you don't have to, all you need to know are the sides the pendulum and what answer they represent.
