Day 4: Wish bags at the Landing Theater in Houston.
It was freezing in Houston last night. If you live here, you know how very very very ill-equipped this city is to deal with freezes, and how dangerous it can be. Jonathan was going to be driving to rehearsal, and I was supposed to stay home and nurse my cold, but I got nervous about him going alone and driving home alone during the freeze. So I went with him. I hadn’t taken my 365 photo yet, so I thought I could snap a pic of the rehearsal, or maybe wander outside and take night photos in the cold.
In the lobby of Landing Theater were these little bags. You buy a wish bag at the box office, then write a wish on a slip of paper, put it in the bag and hang it up. I don’t know if there’s anyone granting the wishes. But they looked so pretty, hanging there, with snowflakes and other decorations. I was tempted to take some of the bags down and peek at the wishes, but I didn’t. I hope some of them are granted as the year goes on.
