Valentine’s Day prompt. After Archie breaks her heart for the hundredth time, Betty swears off dating and enlists Jughead’s help in breaking her ‘romantic addiction’ before Valentine’s Day. The problem is, the more time Jughead spends with Betty giving her ‘anti-love’ lessons, the harder it is to pretend they’re just pals going on ‘anti-dates’ as they both realize they’d been holding onto funny ideas about love/relationships. Bonus if you can weave in ‘wants what he can’t have’ classic!Archie in there somewhere because I feel that needs addressing. lol

While ordinary treasure hunters aren’t that hard to defeat, treasure hunters who have leashed large vishaps and use them as attack dogs are incredibly difficult. Chongyun had been scouting the area, waiting for the perfect chance to jump in without getting immediately injured.

This wouldn’t normally be their kind of fight, but Chongyun is annoyed because this particular group is part of a larger organization that’s been actively trying to steal relics from his clan. To Chongyun, this is a personal offense, and he’s going to try his best to exact some sort of justice.

Before they can jump down from their hidden location, they see another figure run into the fray. Narrowing his eyes, he studies the new arrival, realizing almost seconds too late that he recognizes them.

Chongyun almost wants to see how well they can handle themselves, except two of the vishaps are already lunging at the arrival, one of which is doing the classic spin attack that’s even knocked Chongyun down a few times.

“Look out!” Chongyun calls instinctively. The treasure hunters know where they’re hiding out now, but that doesn’t matter, not anymore.

5 Things Fic. Jughead has several -rules- concerning other people. Archie, Kevin, Toni, Veronica and Reggie serve as illustrations. Interestingly, Betty is the exception to all of them.

While awaiting a rescue from Kevin, they struggle to avoid the elephant in the room. Jughead, to his credit, does rather well. If only the strap of Betty’s dress would stop sliding off..

Jughead stands to inherit a highly successful maple farm from his eccentric aunt that would solve a lot of his financial dilemmas and put JB through school. Problem is, the will stipulates he be married by 30 or the inheritance goes to his conniving cousin, Reggie Mantle. Jug enlists Betty to be his wife in a marriage of convenience, promising her a share of the fortune so she can lure her kind of sort of boyfriend, Archie, away from her rival, Veronica’s ‘sponsorship’ of his music. It’s only one week convincing the executors of the will, Cheryl and Jason Blossom, that they’re the real deal. What could possibly go wrong?
