concept: Wispon Mechs

robot bodies that Wisps can power and control

they can use the voice box to speak

these robot bodies don't have their own AI, just basic programming that allows the Wisps to control them

like an exosuit

Dark Arms' language is essentially the Wisp language but a different dialect with a few Black Arms terms tossed in

so like American vs British vs Australian English

so they can mostly understand each other but sometimes not really

I've really only heard complaints about Whisper getting trounced here but LOOK AT THE PUNISHMENT SHE'S ABLE TO TAKE

also she gets her wispon broken but grabs a shard of it AND TRIES TO STAB SURGE WITH IT

she's a SCRAPPER

I believe the four Dark Arms we've seen are all male but I wonder if any of the others were female since Wisps can be male or female

it's not explained exactly how the Dark Arms were made but I'm currently of the assumption that Eclipse eggnapped* them and spliced them with his genes

(or injected the eggs with his blood if Black Arms blood is mutagenic/parasitic, which would explain the seemingly random mutations--he would not have purposefully made Rhygenta toothless)

so if Eclipse hadn't showed up, they'd just be normal Wisps

just thinking about possibilities for OCs

(*going with Wisps laying eggs as Black Arms haven't been showed to have eggs, they're based on cephalopods/jellyfish, and Wisps are in Chao eggs in Sonic Speed Simulator)
