I mostly agree with you assessment of the Felt album. Clockwork Reversal is the only one actually worth listening to reversed since it's actually Clockwork Melody from Vol. 5 backwards. I'm surprised you weren't more impressed by English since it's by far my favourite track and I think the most popular in general. As well as being the most interesting to listen to the melody is also palindromic.

‘English’ was probably my number 6 favorite, so it just barely missed the cut. But the fact that it’s palindromic is very interesting! It’s unfortunately the most interesting thing about it, IMO, but that’s enough to revise my earlier assessment and bump it up to number 4.

As for ‘Clockwork Reversal’, I think I’d have liked it better if the melody were the same (i.e. ‘Clockwork Melody’ backwards), but the instruments themselves were played forwards. As it is, it’s basically just a regular mp3 being played in reverse, instead of a backwards melody arranged to be played forwards (or a melody composed forwards, but recorded backwards and then flipped), and that’s just kinda lazy.

I'm sure many people are going to tell you this but, if you look closely at the gif of Slick's arm being ripped off, you'll see that Snowman actually shot him in the shoulder first to dislocate the arm (assumedly the carapace just shatters or something) and then rips it away with the whip.

I just got another ask pointing this out. The Carapace shattering thing helps it make a lot more sense though, thanks! This is my last post before bed, and the last ask that James was willing to screen for me tonight. I'm glad that I don't have to go to bed thinking about it now.

Hmm, constructive criticism? I suppose you could stand to be a little more emotive in your audio reacts, perhaps? Just a smidgen. Don't overdo it and go all radio presenter on us. Some people naturally aren't as animated as others when it comes to this sort of thing, but it's ok to act it up just a little for the benefit of your audience. Normally I wouldn't bother commenting on it, but if you're looking for constrictive criticism, that's what I've got. All your textual reactions are perfect.

Thanks for the feedback! I might end up doing that indirectly, since I'm going to try doing things a little differently for my next few audio reacts anyway. I've been trying to talk a lot about theory in-the-moment even though I'd much prefer to consolidate thoughts and post about it in text afterwards. What I'll do is just let the animation run it's course, without forcing anything. Something like that anyway, we'll see how it goes.

"sometimes I start writing this stuff a little preemptively and wonder if writing as I go is really the best way to go about this." It definitely is. I love those occasional moments when livebloggers go on a huge rant about something that is literally explained on the next page, or even better, further down on the same page.

I guess that is half of the fun for you guys ... even if it makes me feel a little bit silly contradicting myself later on in the same post. It does give a more accurate and authentic view of my thoughts though, so I see the value in it.

There are three upcoming pages that you 'must' react to: 003568, 003701, and 003840. As others have mentioned, there are some other pages between those that you could react too, but I either don't think it would be worth the effort for you and the wait for us, or I think we'd get a better reaction in text form anyway.

Thank you, I'll update my list of audio reaction pages! As long as people don't mind too much, I might go with that and skip some minor audio reacts to save time/effort. I think I write in a more interesting way than I speak anyway (I know, my voice is fairly flat sometimes).

#^@%! The reason you hadn't though of them as "Derse agents" is because the name Derse has yet to appear in the story. I'm mean, you'll find out in a little while and it's not a major spoiler anyway, but let's be a tad carefuller about not sending spoilers, fellow readers.

Apparently not ... I asked my ask screener James if I missed something important about the purple/yellow places. That was a little while back, when I was saying stuff about purple being related to Jade and yellow related to John. He gave me their names, and said that Nanasprite told us what they were during the intro to The Medium talk. He refused to say anything else though ... 

It seems like it was just a mistake on his part, I doubt he'd have let that ask through or told me the info in the first place if he had known it was spoilery! He's been pretty good so far, and has told me that he's stopped at least a dozen significant spoilers.

All the music can be found on the Homestuck bandcamp page. However, the page is absolutely covered in spoilers after being reskinned for the release of the latest album. A bit later, using some trickery with the bandcamp embedded player, we can link you to versions of individual albums once they are spoiler free, avoiding the spoilers in the site's skin. Let us know if you're interested.

After the current one, the very next page you must react to is 003049. Optionally, I also would like to a react to 002973. It's not a typical target for audio reacts but I think it might work well. Others' opinions may vary on this.
