1. The Kanaya/John pesterlog was on page 4605. It was quite a long time ago so don't feel too bad about forgetting it. 2. The Reckoning has been going on during all of A5A2, but all the meteors so far have been teleported to Earth by Skaia's defense portals, so you couldn't see any of them from the Battlefield.

"I admit I’m not a hundred percent on whether the Reckoning has actually happened yet." It's actively in the process of happening. Reckoning is a 24-hours long event, mind you. And Tumor is set up to explode when it ends, so it would be a little obvious if it ended.

Great post as always! Re: the Reckoning - it started in [S] Descend, and is still ongoing. The baby meteors were among the first to go. If it was over already, you'd probably know; Rose said the Tumor is calibrated to the end of the Reckoning. :)

Ahh, re: the Reckoning, that totally makes sense! I somehow managed to forget about all the tiny meteors that bombarded Earth aside from the kid-specific ones. I guess at this point the Reckoning has sped up to the point that the defense portals can’t handle all the meteors.

I totally forgot about that John/Kanaya conversation, but I remember it now! That bit came right after he talked himself up to her as ‘Rose’. (heheheheheheh)

I mostly agree with you assessment of the Felt album. Clockwork Reversal is the only one actually worth listening to reversed since it's actually Clockwork Melody from Vol. 5 backwards. I'm surprised you weren't more impressed by English since it's by far my favourite track and I think the most popular in general. As well as being the most interesting to listen to the melody is also palindromic.

Here's a Clockwork Reversal which is backwards for you: viewpure.com/NALQpOcro1g And yeah, it isn't an album for everybody. I am personally still amazed by the fact that English is an almost perfect mirror to itself, for example. But for each their own, i guess.

‘English’ was probably my number 6 favorite, so it just barely missed the cut. But the fact that it’s palindromic is very interesting! It’s unfortunately the most interesting thing about it, IMO, but that’s enough to revise my earlier assessment and bump it up to number 4.

As for ‘Clockwork Reversal’, I think I’d have liked it better if the melody were the same (i.e. ‘Clockwork Melody’ backwards), but the instruments themselves were played forwards. As it is, it’s basically just a regular mp3 being played in reverse, instead of a backwards melody arranged to be played forwards (or a melody composed forwards, but recorded backwards and then flipped), and that’s just kinda lazy.

That’s an interesting theory, with one rather glaring flaw—it’s impossible to prove or disprove, because the trolls don’t have beds to make! In a sample size of four kids, that’s really not saying a lot.
