Harem AU where Shen Yuan transmigrates into one of Bingge’s wives shortly after he returns from the other world. After a brief (and frantic) realization that’s she’s a woman (and always has been, but we’re not getting into that right now), she delves deep into this harem drama she’s been thrust into. It’s not until she comes face to face with Luo Bingge that she realizes just WHICH harem drama she’s living, and immediately sets about making his life as good as she can manage. Oh, harem infighting is causing strain on his containers? Simply nudge Liu Mingyan and Sha Hualing into working together to manage the harem. The Northern Desert is hinging on disaster because of clerical neglect? One of her harem sisters has a brother who’s in need of a job, no stress. Luo Binghe’s kids are unruly and there’s no clear successor? She has a college degree and a little sister, teaching a dozen or so demonic children is a breeze! All in the name of giving Luo Binghe the time to find a new wife, of course, one who will disperse with the need for this sprawling harem, and once that happens she’s free to travel and document monsters to her hearts content.

“Nuh’hing.” Laios said as casually as he could while also feeling like his mouth was mayyybe on actual fire a little bit.

The elf must have noticed the tears streaming down his face and the snot running from his nose anyway, and lunging to grab at his face. “SPIT IT OUT!”

“‘Oh, eh ‘hine!” Laios insisted, dodging her hands.

“Laios, drop it.” Chilchuck called from his bedroll, one arm draped wearily over his face in a failed bid to get to sleep early. “There’s no way you’re still hungry anyways after that dinner anyway.”

Having come back a bit from a month break I’ve re-fallen in love with @im-fairly-whitty ‘s Cecilia de Verde fic and now I’m finally posting some fanart! If any of you haven’t read it yet, oh my god, please please do!! Especially if you love Ernesto as the terribly fabulous handsome man he is

Johnny got his mark when he was eight, a rough little sketch of a skeleton on his inner wrist - a lot like the masks he’d see in the shops around Autumn. He knew about soulmates. Everyone did. Had seen older cousins showing off their matching marks when they brought home a partner, had seen the Bishop blessing young couples in their Holy Bond. Not everyone had a soulmate, of course, but most people did. The fact that his soulmate was younger wasn’t a bother, though he didn’t really like babies. Especially when his mother brought another one of his sisters home from the hospital. But… maybe when they were older, they’d get along. The skull face was weird, but Johnny didn’t think it was too bad. Not like the thorny stick Sarah was born with. He learned to draw sketching out that mask. Every angle he could think of. Sketching out the eyes and the nose that might be under it, some day.

He kept drawing that mask, through Basic and Officer Training. Through every specialization he could convince his CO to let him learn. His soulmate was eight years younger - he wasn’t going to go and get himself shot before meeting them, so he trained. Practiced. Shot up through the ranks at a speed that surprised everybody but himself. At 26, a Sergeant and noted hard ass, he met Price. For a moment, he thought… but no. Price didn’t have a soulmate, and he certainly wasn’t eight years younger than Soap. So he kept going. Kept training. The SAS was tough, demanded a lot, but he’d give a lot more to make sure his soulmate lived a long and peaceful life.

When Soap was 31, on a recon mission just after making Lieutenant, his mark faded. Scarred over, thick and tough. The way marks did when your soulmate died. He didn’t feel it. Didn’t feel anything, really, just took off his gloves in the safe house and watched his world crumble around him. You’re supposed to be able to feel the moment your soulmate died. Feel it like your own, or at least feel the mark fading away. The fact that he felt nothing… well. He hoped his soulmate died peacefully.

He was never very good at hoping.

Inspired by this comic, where Ao Bing asks Nezha if they’re best friends in other universes, too, and after the first “um” it shifts to every time Nezha has killed Ao Bing (and every time he could have killed him). Then Nezha says, “yeah, we are” :)

The best thing about writing fanfiction is that I don’t have to worry about my professors judging me for it. Which means you all get dialogue Like This:

“She’s [Cathy’s] a brat,” Evan grumbled.

“She’s a teenager,” Ben corrected. “You’re a brat.”
